Bharatiya Rasayanasastra | The Vision & Functionality of AYUSH | Dr G Meera |

Ayurveda, the traditional Indian system of medicine, has been gaining popularity in recent years. The Indian government has been promoting the use of Ayurveda and other traditional systems of medicine under the AYUSH scheme. In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, AYUSH has been used to fight the virus, highlighting the importance of traditional medicine. However, the Indian knowledge system of medicine is lagging behind, and there is a need to collect theses on Ayush to further develop the system. Additionally, there is a call to include AYUSH in the MBBS course to provide a more holistic approach to healthcare. Despite its growing popularity, tradition is not a part of pop culture, and there is a need to break the narrative of the usage of heavy metals in Ayurveda. With the government's budget for AYUSH and inspiration from prominent leaders like Modi Ji, the road ahead for Ayurveda and traditional medicine looks promising.

I am a pathologist, an oncopathologist. My wife was having uncontrolled bleeding due to adenomyosis (USG showed adenomyosis). When allopathic medicines failed gynaecologist said that it was time to go for hysterectomy. That was the time when Covid broke out so we decided to try Ayurveda in place of surgery. To my surprise not only bleeding stopped but adenomyosis had disappeared when USG was repeated.

I really appreciate that all South Indian people specially the Tamil people love their culture and tradition not like us north Indians who are hypocrcate and follow western tradition blindly. Moreover the south indian people are generally more intelligent. I am really pleased to see a lady ayurved scholar who is not only intelligent, expert in her craft but also is a good human being with good values. Namaste

Dr. G Meera, a lot of appreciation for your effort! We need to return to our ancient science and knowledge in the texts like Ved and Upnishad, on the basis of that Bharat was the Vishwaguru. And again if Bharat has to become the Vishwaguru, there is no other way than to return to our ancestors. Because there is ocean of knowledge in Ved, Upnished, Puran and other texts in sanskrit. Unless we don't return to our Ved, we will be just followers, can't be the leader anyway. We follow the study of physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics and all other stream of science and technology in western education system which have been developed according to their standard of mind and standard of living. And their standard of mind and standard of living have been just materialistic. But we must know the nature of Universe which we can see and feel even this can't be known by the materialistic science and technology. Forget to get the knowledge of unseen nature of Universe. But our Ved and other texts in sanskrit have these all knowledge and the method or way to know the seen and unseen nature of Universe. But it is almost impossible to get these knowledge for modern civilization which rejects morality, universal humanity for every creature and to speak only truth. Ayurveda is now in practice but it will also be bounded with materialistic concept because it is and it will in the future also be practiced for the people living in the culture and civilization based on materialistic chromosome of time cycle. But anyway, even though the Ayurveda in materialistic form also is far better than any other type of treatments because it has no side effects. The effort which is being made to popularize Ayurveda is definitely appreciable. They will be benefitted to get good health. 👍 Thanks.

On talking about people not interested in Ayurvedha/Siddha, we people don't even know where to find these clinics when in need for common fever. Unless it is approachable easily for common fever or even cold, it will be difficult to attract people towards it. And once it is achieved, then only students looking out for this medical field also can see it as attractive course for their future career

Truly intriguing, highly inspiring, specific and comprehensive information, case studies with compassionate endeavour...! Wonders and supremacy of Ayurveda are clinically proved, globally recognized ! After having encountered jeopardizing side effects and numerous hazards of 'evidence based medicine' (with due regard to its excellence in surgical procedures, management of emergency medical intervention etc.), people across the globe have begun to show avid interest in Ayurveda (precisely from the time of the inception of AIIA, Delhi in the year 2015 and thereafter from the time of outbreak of Covid 19 in 2020) for getting rid of chronic and acute stages of diseases and are welcoming this age old indigenous system of medicine with deeper trust and confidence for getting treated without side effects...! However, futuristic planning, extensive reformation, necessary escalation in the annual budget for Ayurveda with revised, effective government policies for its research, development and sustainable growth, standardization for quality control of Ayurvedic drugs ought to be implemented by the Ministry of Ayush within a targeted length of time.

Our Vaidyas were experts in "Naadi Parikshan" and used it for diagnostics which is a great scientific tool and is very perfect . . Today very few vaidyas have the knowledge of "Naadi shastra" and it should be given patronage and should be propagated . . Just think how it was very useful for diagnostics in older days when no machines or pathological tests were there for any kind of diagnosis . . And they, Just by holding your wrist, would tell the complete history of the patients, who would only node in yes and would get convinced that Vaidya ji is going to make me perfectly fit and half of his/her worry use to disappear . . We all should make efforts whole heartedly to promote Ayurved and particularly promote "Naadi Shashtra" again . . We may save crores of rupees that we spend on diagnosis . . Jai Hind ❤

Ayurveda is the best. Many stroke patients recovered 100% in Ayurveda. Not possible in allopathy. Meditation specially under pyramid has proven that all the major disorders are solved and future problems can be detected and correct early. Indian knowledge gaining popularity. Children in the English mechalay system schools have been hypnotysed and they think in a corporate style. But real life and happyness are with Indian system of living and life style. Major issues are arriving because most of the sophisticated society wants luxury materialistic things around them and they work day and night to acquire things. But it's proven that happiness is within us and cannot be acquired outside

I believe there is a need to differentiate between success stories of ayurved and patanjali case. Patanjali case was because of wrong claims of scientific evidence of herbal medicine mixture, not proprietary ayurvedic medicine. Also it was contested by ICMR itself, so no political angle Merits of age old science of Ayurvedare indisputable. It does not need politicising or babas to survive. And of course appreciate the speaker for advocacy and knowledge and judiciary for right call.
