ഞാൻ കാസറഗോഡ് ബന്തടുക ആണ്.. അവിടെ കുട്ടി ആയിരിക്കുമ്പോഴേ അമ്പലത്തിൽ ഉത്സവ സമയത്ത് കെട്ട് പഠിച്ച song ആണ് ഒരുപാട് ഇഷ്ടം ആയതും അങ്ങനെ തന്നെ... അങ്ങനെ ഇതിനിടക്ക് സെർച്ച്‌ ചെയ്തപ്പോൾ കിട്ടിയതാണ്.. പിന്നെ സ്ഥിരം കേൾക്കും...

I hope you know that this is a kannada keerthana written by Poet & Saint Shri Purandharadhaasa,who was a great devotee of Krishna Renga bagavaan.Since he is Kannada poet and has written keerthanas in kannada,it is definitely a humble pride for us as kannadigaas.I am a kannadiga residing in Tamilnadu.But at the time we respect all,though we may differ in our "Ancestral language" but we are all human beings as you said friend.I am ready to appreciate keerthanas in Telugu,Tamil,Marathi or be it any language.But since "Baagyaadha lakshmi baaramma" is kannada keerthana,it is surely a happy & humble pride moment for me as a kannadiga and all other kannadigaas in this world.🙏🏻Thank you Friend.

@@odaadu-4463 Yes he is called that because Annamacharya's work was almost forgotten. Until the works written on Copper plates were discovered in Tirumala Sri Venkatwshwara Swamy Temple in the year 1849 where remained hidden for centuries. But Purandara Dasa's work stayed alive even during the 1600s , 1700s etc. Hence he is considered to be that but in reality Annamacharya was the first among Carnatic Musicians. *Again, I love Purandara Dasa so much. I am just telling you the fact why Dasa is known as Father of Carnatic Music even when Annamacharya came before him*

Fantastic !! My mother was a trained Carnatic musician. She used to sing this at every functional in our part of Kurnool. My mother was very famous. She was just awesome. Unfortunately we don’t have any of songs recorded. But that voice is still in my heart. Uthara , you sang just awesome!! God bless you. I am going to keep this clip forever!

I agree. The rendition is good. When some non-native speakers sing other languages, they make some minor mistakes. which sometimes changes the meaning of a word, sentence. I have seen many singer make it. So not criticism but a suggestion to verify with a native speaker to make sure there are no mistakes.
