@@GabbarSeTakkar I laughed a lot when you said hedgewar gave us independence. Actually bhakts are the biggest hypocrites. They hate and abuse communists but tend to respect Bhagat Singh a lot. That is their hypocrisy. History also says that it were some RSS people who gave statement against Bhagat Singh in court. And moreover, Bhagat Singh was fully secular, too secular more than Gandhiji and Pandit Nehru. and bhakts hate seculars. That is their hypocrisy. Bhagat Singh has refered RSS to be Musolini group. Actually they don't have anyone contributed in India's independence, so they try to swing in Bhagat Singh's legacy. But their hypocrisy is that he was a communist as well a secular, people whom they hate nowadays.

He delayed Indian independence by 20 to 30 yrs so that colonialists did not feel any pressure during world wars. Gandhi supported recruitment of 2.5 million Indian soldiers (to be used as cannon fodder in world war I and II) In fact, Gandhi himself was a soldier in South Africa (fought in Anglo Boer War 1899) before becoming a barrister. Gandhi was brainwashed by leo-tolstoy's (a crypto jew) non-violence ramblings before being imported by East India company to India through Gokhale). We have proof of letter correspondence between leo-tolstoy and MK Gandhi.

If Bhagat Singh was called "terrorist" 16 times in a history book, what were all the professors, students, parents etc doing all these years ? Or didn't they know whom to complain to ? Isn't there no mechanism to point out such "errors" ? Who were the so called "historians" who wrote this ? Their names should have been given credit in the book. What were they thinking ? Shouldn't they be questioned ? How many such falsehoods are there in history books ? I have lost faith in history.

Bhagat Singh is a hero. A really great one at that. Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev are heroes of Indian freedom. I'm Nigerian but I love Bhagat Singh. I've read all of his letters several times. What a legend!

yes it is a problem, 90% of social studies text book( especially in 10th std) is about gandhian movement and just mention extemist movement as mere unsuccessful attempt. I read this book three days back as I am preparing for UPSC and even I was taken aback by seeing the word "revolutionary terrorist" for Shaheed Bhagat Singh and other martyrs. I was thinking to write to the publisher and Ministry of Human resource Development to take some action and to correct the word and today by chance I came across this debate. Happy to see that many people also want some action to be taken. And the biggest irony you know, this is the most read book by UPSC aspirants and many IAS, IPS and other central service officers have read this book and reached the place where they are. Most of the successful aspirants suggest this book! This book on a whole is written by Congress funding to the authors I suppose. In the whole book, Congress has been shown as the face of Indian nationalism and leaders like Jawaharlal Nehru has been portrayed the best. His and Gandhi's achievements have been very much highlighted throughout the book and undermining those of others like Subhash Chandra Bose, Bhagat Singh, etc. And do you know the book just covers just 2 pages on Bhagat Singh. Just two pages! The every wrong decision of the Congress and especially Mahatma Gandhi has been justified for example the abrupt calling off the non-cooperation movement.

Though I am also pro Bhagat Singh. But yes he was Marxist in his belief and denounced religion and God. In his early ages he was follower of religion but later when he denounced all religions when he studied and read about concepts of European liberty, fraternity, Secularism etc he was influenced by them and became atheist. Read his own book, Read his family background.... His revolutionary ideas are influenced from French revolution. Pagadi on the other hand most of people even after becoming atheist wear just because of family traditions there are many other cultural sects other than Sikhs who wear Pagadi in spite of different religious bias or no religious bias, in fact they are more into culture than religion. But his personal belief whether Hindu, Sikh, Atheist etc won't make any difference in respect for him

we need to go through all educational and historian books and keep a close watch on what our children are learning. and amend all those wrong quotings ..... and such books and teachers / universities will have heavily punished . period.

Baghat singh is was and will always be shaheed , he doesn't need label from anybody . Gandhi is only on Indian currency and bhaghat singh is in our hearts.

The sad part is these people will still exist and propogate the same after the debate. It hurts so much when they explain such kind of term and the way the chapter was expressed. These people should be picked up from here itself.

Interestingly, the chapter blissfully forgets to mention the name of Netaji who was the twice elected President of Indian National Congress of this time... ITS FUNNY THAT TEACHING ABOUT CONGRESS MOVEMENTS, THE HISTORY TEXTBOOK BLISSFULLY FORGETS ITS YOUNGEST TWICE ELECTED PRESIDENT. Netaji contributed to Congress for 19 long years... Deshbandhu Chitraranjan Das and his swaraj party is also blissfully forgotten... Strange is the History of our country which is even bias on some "NON VIOLENT" Movements.
