Hey guys in this video I am going to make a improvised version of aluminium air battery.
This is the second time I'm gonna to make my aluminium air battery but this time the battery which I gonna to make will produce 0.4 V more than the theoretical potential produced by aluminium air battery.
However previously I have made aluminium air battery using a graphite plate which was made from styrofoam and a 4 layered Aluminium foil which is used in kitchen.
In my previous video of aluminium air battery a lot of people claimed it to be fake but in this video I am going to clarify it how it works and chemistry behind it. however in my previous video I have clarified how does aluminium air battery works I have told each aspect of aluminium air battery in that video but in this video I am going to improve it and going to clarify that it works on the basic principle of electrochemistry.
In this video what is new is the electrolyte which is in Semi solid state which consists of Potash alum Magnesium Sulphate sodium chloride and sodium metaborate which is borax in Sort.
The above mixture of Potash alum magnesium sulphate sodium chloride and sodium metaborate is mixed with equal quantity of manganese dioxide obtained from dry cell batteries the Maganese dioxide obtained is not purified it is directly used as such.
The whole mixture described above is mixed with 95% concentrated sulfuric acid when the cell is made with our above described mix you can see a potential difference over 4.4 V but this potential difference stays for very short amount of time like for only one or two minutes then after that the voltage significantly drops down to constant voltage of 1.7 to 1.8 if you hydrate the mixture with some of dilute sulphuric acid then the voltage may rise up to 2 V however 1.7 volt is the constant potential that I have obtained in my experiments so it is 0.4 times more than the usual 1.3 volt producing aluminium air batteries which uses Sodium Hydroxide,potassium Hydroxide or sodium chloride as a electrolyte.
However I will not prefer this method if you are beginner in chemistry because addition of sulphuric acid to the above-described mixture releases harmful chlorine gas which is very dangerous for health if proper care is not taken while working with that it may prove harmful or it may even cause death.
I am still trying to find out the exact chemical reaction which are responsible for generating such high voltage for very short period of time I think it is mostly due to the sulphuric acid but when I experimented with other combination the results are same so I am still trying to figure it out.

How can you call it an air battery? just answer me. Where have you used the air? Usually you have used electrolyte chemical so I think its electro chemical battery. It's not an air battery, air is present everywhere it doesn't mean air is working. Let's assume that you are using a digital measuring instrument which is also present in the air, it does not mean that it is working through the air.

Thankyou for commenting will pin it as most of people don't even ask. Brother Air battery doesn't mean that you need to add air to it . The thin oxide layer over the plate grows to a much thicker layer.Gravimetric Analysis of the Al shows the increment of about 65% sometimes No such observations are made if this is made in SS. You can have a look over Berkeley or Caltech papers or on Researchgate for more information. Several other YT videos are available you can check out those with a lot more Electrochemical details.

Have you ever thought about urine battery because urine is also a good electrolyte. It contains lots of chemicals like water, salt, electrolytes like potassium and phosphorus and chemicals called urea and uric acid. Here electricity can also be generated by treating the anode as graphite and the cathode as zinc and as a result the battery becomes equivalent to your air battery.

No sir, you may have some error in this experiment otherwise a single cell can provide up to 1.8v so just try again

You should always place your potassium nitrate with lots of cheaply available silica gel to keep it free from air. Or if you already have your KNO3 moistured just heat it about 50℃ for at least half an hour. The temperature and heating duration depends upon level of moisture. However if you have moistured KNO3 tou can use it to make Corn syrup based Rocket fuel (flex fuel) 65%KNO3 + 18%Sugar + 17%Syrup

Keep it on a tray with coal bed below it ! Be very careful as it cheap and not the best way of heating

I can help you with simple Rockets utilizing Mercury switch or Inbuilt ejection and some sort of arduino based pressure sensor for height. This is the Max (in electronics) that I can do with my rockets.

I got 1 litre of highly concentrated liquor ammonia but it doesn't fumes however it diffuses very fast and smells a lot. However I didn't observed it carefully will edit this comment tomorrow by my observations.

Ye usage pe depend krta hai...But on an average 12v ki bani battery continuous approx 70 din tak chl sakti hai agar aache material se banaya jaye. Ye battery specially Electric Vehicle k liye research mei hai.

सेल की आयु इस बात पर निर्भर करती है कि अल्मुनियम की मोटाई कितनी है यह सेल लगभग 21 25 दिन चल सकता है लगातार !

Extremely sorry for late reply ! This time due to aluminium plate the weight is about 14gram for first cell and 12 gram for 2nd cell. The amperage at beginning is about 92 mAmps which after stabilization reaches to 98 value and after 1 week of constant usage it goes to 12mAmps. I think it's mostly due to drying and crystal forming nature of electrolyte.

खट्टा तेजाब की जगह ग्रीन हाइड्रोजन मिक्सचर में मिलाया होता तो यह बैटरी 1 महीने तक डिस्चार्ज ही नहीं होती और 1 साल तक लगातार आउटपुट दे सकती थी

Agar Aluminium badlna na pade to wah aluminum air battery he nahi hogi... Aapki baat sahi hai but wo hum ispe apply nahi kr skte. Fuel cells pe apply kiya jaa skta hai...Or crystal battery's meine banayi hai jo saalo tak chlti hai... bina kisi continuous input k.

भैया यह जो आप सेल बनाए हो ना पोटेशियम मैग्नीशियम बोरेक्स फिटकरी वगैरह डालकर यह सब चीजें भारत में जहां पर्याप्त मात्रा में उपलब्ध नहीं है परंतु एलमुनियम लोहा और hydrogen भारत में इतनी पर्याप्त मात्रा में मौजूद है कि इससे भारत की सारी इलेक्ट्रिक वाहन चलाई जा सकती hi
