Jim Correct. Yep I have spent 1000$ on getting bushes shocks etc replace to get rid of clunk in BA left rear end with no result. Noise was only there with just me in the car with any weight on LHS no clunk. So I gave up! Then one day I'm changing a wheel because of puncture in pitch black and look at base of spring with iPhone torch and rubber seat on base is shredded and crumbly and I can see where metal rubbing on metal is occurring surprised they don’t put these seats in the kit. Even more surprised that mechanics don't look for stuff like that.

Chuck the bushes in the freezer for a bit and they will fall in, and arms etc in a hot bath...... you can nearly fit them by hand.

Yes mate they are at the end of Brodie Rd North. Real good place to get falcon parts. Next job is some std height king springs for the front. And some new shocks and bushes

Gday mate cheers 4 the vid. Thought about doing it with 2 jacks.. found a guy in the paper that does em someday $800 including a carton of beer 😂 got quoted from ford $1300 job bloody mongrels.

All BF, FG and Territory take the 49188 an 49160A the only different one is the BA. Good job anyway.

Thank you for these vids. I am planning on rebuilding my xr6t diff and seeing these will help alot with removing everything. In your experience do you think it would be easier to remove the lower control arms and hubs before removing the upper section? I'm planning to do this entirely on jack stands so any extra clearance will be helpful. I would kill for a pit like you have but I don't think my landlords would approve :D

WASDxMerceless hi mate it might help a bit but the centre cradle is the same height. If you can get a couple trolley jacks remove everthing except the last two nuts. The lower to gound remove last nuts and lift back up it should work very similar to mine. Unfortunately wont be as easy for you to realign as i could move the car 100mm each way on chain. Be safe make sure all supports have a backup support and good luck

Finished the rebuild a couple weeks ago, was easier than i expected to remove the IRS, used some tall jack-stands with blocks under them. Lowered the whole thing down using a transmission adaptor on my jack then just wheeled it out sideways through the wheel arches. Re-aligning everything went smoother than expected also , had a couple mates spotting on either side. My only regret was forgetting to crack the axle nuts before dropping the IRS out, rookie mistake :D Definitely made it alot easier having watched these vids first, thanks

The diff rebuild itself took all of an hour or so. The m86 diffs are really easy to set the backlash on, no carrier shims, just big adjuster caps on either side of the ring carrier that screw in or out depending on what ya need. The biggest pain was the hammering the diff bushings in and that the drivers side axle was stuck pretty bad. Took me 2 days to get the axle out, a ratchet strap and a whack with the hammer sorted it. All in all it took about 3 or 4 days all up, just because of the stuck axle and one of the bushings was stubborn. If it wasn't for that It would have been maybe 2 days.

There is more room in the teritory you may get the rear on i think the fronts you may still need to drop the cradle. You have to give them a pretty good thump to put back in.

Fuel tank passenger side has to come out to do left bush if you don't want to take diff cradle out

Because hard bushes equals breakage in your driveline. No way would i fit this shit in my falcon.

How are these holding up? Thinking of doing my bushings but with superpro as i've heard they are softer.

Really good i dont think they are too hard. I tow a van with it too goes great.

Nolathane will make your falcon feel much too stiff and crash over bumps very badly, use stock rubber bushes

Hi John. Seems ok to me i also have hd rear springs for towing but it handles fine and is still like a lounge chair compared to my wifes corolla 😆

Is that procedure any different for the GT MODEL .? We can't seems to get the entire lot to drop seems like there may be extra bolts
