The PS3 version still looks incredible for the platform it's running on. Looks that they didn't have a lot to add to an already pristine presentation.

+Easy Big01 That's mostly the motion blur, as well as DOF. I personally like those effects as they make motion seem more fluid and make cinematic shots look nicer when the subject is more in focus than the background.

+XPsilocybinDream motion blur actually requires more power to run. Regardless, I want motion blur at any frame rate. Even if I'm getting a game to run at 144fps on my monitor, I'd still want motion blur because it makes motion more natural, rather than more digital.

+Beats, Games, Life -ZimM804 yes they are blurred. Move your hand back and forth real fast in front of your eyes, you'll see a blur. It's the natural effect your eyes have with motion. At any moment, your eye retains an image of the last several milliseconds of motion information. Of course when your eyes track perfectly with motion, the moving object doesn't blur, the background does. The same happens in a game. Also, motion blur is more of a sharp streak than an actual blur.

This shows how powerfull the ps3 was for its time.

+Rudis 8800GTX can easily run this game if they make DX10 port for PC Modern games that still compatible with DX10 like Battlefeild 4 and Dragon Age Inquisition can run on slightly better graphic settings on 8800GT than last generation consoles.

This is why I always disable motion blur on PC

Man do I agree with that, I think it really undersold a few years ago and would benefit in a better marketing this time around but seeing as how Team Bondi is no more and I'm not sure if Rockstar/Take Two has any access to the assets I'm not sure how that's gonna happen.

Apart from the higher res on the ps4 i prefer the look of the PS3 version.

The motion blur seems largely unnecessary for this game. With the exception of the motorcycle scene and the train scene, the entire game plays at a relatively slow pace.

I don't like the blur

The ONLY difference in this game is that sony changed the title of the cover from "PS3" to "PS4" not worth a extra penny than the PS3 version

I think remixed mode is pretty cool, it essentially justifies 2 playthroughs. If I had a ps4 I'd consider buying this now since replayability is much higher, but I think they could've been able to crank fps up to 60 with a bit more optimisation..

undifini Them not upgrading it to atleast 60fps defeats the purpose of being a "remaster" If they made a whole new story without the 60fps then maybe it might be worth it but even that is asking too much. But at this point this is just like another cash grab like that other garbage "Prototype"

+OldSchoolWisdom93 The reason it wasn't changed to a 60fps game is most likely the motion capture. All of the motion capture was designed around 30fps so if they wanted the game to run at 60 they would have had to redo all of the motion capture otherwise it would look really weird.

Am I the only one who noticed the weird changes in the party scene. A different guard, green dress becomes grey, another pink, for no reason whatsoever. That's weird right?

I've had the urge to replay this and Heavy Rain lately, checked out some vids to see the improvements/quality and while there are some really noticeable improvements in terms of looks(the shadows and lighting in some scenes) overall I think I like the look of the PS3 version better. Motion blur can be a great addition to some scenes and actions, but they went a bit too far with it here.... I'll pick up the PS4 HR/B:TS combo disk and give them both a shot on PS4, just hope I don't end up having to hook my PS3 back up to get the better overall experience....lol.

Missed out on this and Heavy Rain on PS3, after playing Wolf Among Us though I want to try games like Beyond, Heavy Rain, Until Dawn and Detroit. Aside from the mentioned are there any other else like these on PS4?

PS3 looks far better. No blur or less blur. More clean and crisp. PS4 is just a blurry mess. Like a terrible Reshade. Now if this game was developed ground up on the PS4, it would be a different story. Obviously.

With them not having to render many pixels due to it's 2:35:1 aspect ratio, 60fps shouldn't be a problem for them at all. Not to mention, the graphical update isn't much.

+1999Sponge Good point, but I think that the engine was never designed for high frame-rates, and the refresh rate wouldn't make a difference, as Beyond doesn't focus on reaction time.

In the meantime Microsoft is releasing titles for backwards compatibility for free and not €60

Even though it's not much of a remaster I hope this sells well so there could be a sequel

I'd rather play the PS3 version without motion blur and chromatic stupidity.

Motion blur aside, PS4 was quite the upgrade! I only wish they did upgrade it or at least add a slight touch to it on pc instead of a Lazy port that ends up with slightly worse bugs

+ark13700 Probably looks a lot different in reality. I watched a "the witcher 3 1080p vs 900p" video and you couldn't see a difference. But after playing both versions, the 1080p were much better.

I agree with him (Digital Foundry). Alone the res and aliasing in PS3 is annoying. I kinda dislike the Motion Blur in the video, although not always, but in reality it's probably less bad. I know some people have a hard time telling differences, maybe you have that too.

It’s crazy to me that this game originally released over 10 years ago, and it still holds up graphically. Say what you want about Quantic Dream’s gameplay and storytelling - but holy shit can they impress on a technical level!

Why, oh why would you make most of this video in slow motion? The motion blur is killing me. I can barely even point out key differences because you won't let the scenes play out normally.

Ijust hate how every PS4 game has exessive motion blur it kills the mood...

Although, there is not much of an upgrade in terms of graphics, but it would be a lot better if the game is 60fps.

PortStation 4. Jokes aside I've only just picked this up on PS3 now and what makes me most glad is that it was cheap as chips, hopefully it's actually a sweet game to start off with and then for those only joining the PlayStation brand right now I reckon "why not"? I like them cheap though so please don't mind me.

Some depth of field changes, hotel people with different skin colours & random texture changes. Its nothing like the Last of Us upgrade, this is definitely for people who simply missed out

Lol not as big improvement as it should have been given the far superior gpu in ps4. looks slightly better but tbh it looked amazing on ps3 2 begin with so no big deal. given the huge ability to display much more poly geometry on ps4 QD haven't flexed that gpu much which is a real shame imo! Still a fun game 2 play regardless of slightly better lighting and visuals. Does anyone know if this now runs 1080p 60fps on ps4? if not l won't bother 2 get it as I can now get it for €5 on ps3. Still not a remaster. It's a port. What I see on the video, hardly much changed. I do see more motion blur effect use on PS4. I prefer the look of the PS3 version on some scenes with a sharper looking and non washed out colours.

In most cases the PS3 version looks better imo while using simpler tech/smoke & mirrors...
