So I’ve just found Reina and Josh on KZread in 2019. The thing I love about the whole group...it’s just so genuine and about the music. No fancy clothes, makeup or production. Just a camera and making music. So refreshing. Well done and good for you.

Bobby Darin was one of the greats. Beyond the Sea and Mack the Knife were two of the best ever. I never got the chance to see him in a live performance. Wish I had.

I saw him in Vegas, maybe 1968/9. He was phenomenal. Died way to young 😢.

I've always liked this video. It almost has a Charlie Chaplin/Buster Keaton silent film feel with the falling camera and the Toni lens cleaning closeup. But the star of this movie isn't silent: it's Reina using her voice marvelously in a song that seems to be written just for her.

@@user-ub2mo1nz1j Washburn is the fine accoustic All American guitar made in the USA. Mine is a 12 string I bought in 1980 and have been playing it for 40 years. To know Reina would be to want to make music with her.

This is my absolute all time favourite song!! I have heard all versions, including big band versions, and this is how it should be done, much nearer to the original French. Love these people, and the girl singer could go far. Hope they really make it.

Beyond the Sea was written by Jack Lawrence in1945. The original melody for this song is from La Mer by French composer Charles Trenet. Beyond the Sea was made popular by Bobby Darin in 1959.
