It is so amazing that Beyond could do all their songs alone, especially Wong Ka Kui, a fantastic musician, the lead singer, composer, songwriter, guitarist, and the band's soul. He was super talented! He got a very unique voice.

This song is “Time Without Sound” (歲月無聲), the language sung in this version is Cantonese, not Pu Tong Hua, this is one of the best heavy rock song composed by Ka Kui. However, the song was wrote for another female singer Kitman Mak, her version was much softer and sad, but still very touching 👍🏻

Frank, thanks for reacting Beyond songs. I'm a huge fun of them. Their songs has been through my teenage and youth. Now I'm 45, still listen to them on and off, especially when Im a bit low, because their songs are always meaningful, talk about social problems and many perspectives in life with a big heart...which gives people, especially young people, faith, power and some direction... This song, "Shui yue wi sheng" means "Time in silence". As usual, the lyrics mention that "the mountain path is tough, but I've got my shadow with me even though I'm tired", which means that the way is hard, but I go for it. The lyrics "the sand is not afraid of the wind to blow, because it will settle one day". Basically the song means the time goes silently, when you have grey hair and look back your life, you shouldn't be afraid and go for it, even it's tough.

@Maria Rodrigues I'm so so glad that you enjoyed the video and like the band very much. Kakui Wong was self-taught, so talented and worked so hard. He's a great leader, like a big brother in their band with a kind heart to pass positive messages to young people at the time by using their music. It's so sad that he left, and left hundreds of beautiful songs in his short life, but he's living young forever in funs' hearts. He's a legend in China, including overseas Chinese world. Now more foriegn friends, like you, know him, appreciate his music. I'm sure that he achieved his aim that 30years ago, they left to Japan to develop their music, or to make the real music that they wanted to do and let more people know to them. Most of his songs are beloved karaoke choices for Hong Kongers given each line of his songs are so meaningful. Unfortunately direct english translation of each line just doesn’t deliver nearly the same meaning. I can’t sing for ish but i will rock their songs any time in social gatherings and anyone born in the 80s and early 90s will jump in for a horrific sing along
