One on hand, yes! But also on the other one - it may be a total opposite, aka: valuing yourself and highlighting the other party's ignorance and lack of appreciation, aka calling them out for being a hypocrite ;) That's how I saw this song for example having the 'cheating' in my mind (meaning the one in their relationship); also, a 3rd side: it can also kind of highlight that even if you're ENOUGH on your own ("so damn easy to love") - you still can feel insecure - and I feel like this connects both the first (yours :) ) and the second interpretation. :) So yeah, I feel like it speaks all the three simultaneously. :D

I think you didnt get what I said before. I'm not talking about her private life obviously, I'm talking about how she changed her appearance,her style and the way she acts at her latest music videos in comparison with her old.I think she was more original that's all.If I've ever been in their presence or spoken to them so as to be able to express my opinion it's irrelevant,no offence.

Beyonce should do an album with Solange. it would be earth shattering. What a talented family!!

Listening to this song makes me think of all the failed talking stages I have had that went nowhere. It pisses me off so much to think about. The beat and lyrics make this a great song to run to on the treadmill. I go so hard when the chorus starts lmao

I feel like bey is using the 50s glamour style to show how women payed such high attention to looks to keep up with standards of beauty (as some can today) but regardless of impeccable grooming and trophy house wife skills she still fell short when it came to keeping the man because his interests where in other places, which totally happens often with a lot of people. Its pretty much showing the ugly truth of how even the most perf. Situations can turn cold regardless of eager potential onlookers.
