As an African, I thank Beyoncé for introducing people to different cultures in our continent. Because people always thought about poverty and slavery when you talk about Africa now people can see the brighter side ❤️

Black is King is definitely THE PROJECT. Is the biggest music project I've ever seen and it's super well thought. If you go deeper in the story you will realize how big The Gift album is. Apparently this is how Beyoncé finished the love letter to Africa. This is an important and powerful message of self love, how important is our history and embrace it, never forget our culture, our roots, our ancestors. And also never lose your way. Seeing this makes me feel loved and empowered and proud even I'm not Black but I'm Brown and I received the message. As a recommendation for you, watch it again and go deeper into the story you will find it even better. Beyoncé is King
I am not even the hugest Beyonce stan. I've always respected her and liked her music but definitely more of a casual listener and I teared up so many times watching Black is king.

Beyonce is a phenomenal woman. Her songs embraced the past, the present and the future for African - American culture. She must be credited for that, because never forget your origins and how they overcame slavery.

"Brown Skin Girl" got me y'all. When the Black girl emerged and smiled at the end. Chile. My heart. I really do wish Beyoncé gave me choreo for "Find Your Way Back" though. I was hoping for a "Grown Woman" type of serve. But in the context of the film and what the song is about, I get why she didn't buss down.
When you cried I felt that. I was the same way!
Beyoncé is just the best female singer
I agree , I love how she honors dark skin girls even though she is light skin and she wants them to see their beauty in their skin. I get emotional too . I’m light skin and hate to hear black men say say I’ve heard all my life I don’t mess with dark skin girls. . It’s sad in Jamaica, India , Korea even America we are taught Dark is ugly and women and men bleach their skin.Im I sick of this colorist mess straight from the plantation. Hopefully the ties will change .
Beyoncé represented Africa and blackness beautifully 💖 love from South Africa 🇿🇦🖤
Ok vocals during Bigger👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Black is king is a masterpiece!!!! It deserves so MANY awards
I feel like the songs where structured not in LP order but, in order of the movie sequences. Like the visit to Scars den and the elephant grave yard which is the boy coming across the slum lord and biker boys, who I believe represent the hyenas. at least that was my interpretation.

yess it makes perfect sense !!
In my fucking life I had seen something so flattering that your skin even bristles without needing to be fans… that woman... she goes through the years .. Songs: 10/10 Theme: 10/10 Photography: 1000/10 Transitions: 10/10 Choreography: 10x10 / 10 Outfits: ** LOVELY ** Scenes: Absolutly PERFECT End: to PRAISE And I make a new Plus in its visuals: Special effects are so perfect and credible that they go hand in hand with Disney, everything .. Everything, everything is credible but at the same time very magical, it is to turn reality into something magical because everything you see is nothing invented or fantasy and even so it seems ✨🙈 Telling a story and exposing the roots of a black culture far above the black panthers and taking us to the most feared African tribes in all history and being part of it, was an experience without words, it is everything with everything, there is light, feeling, love, joy, fun, darkness, there is everything. It shows that they invested a lot of money in this project and it is a great winner ... I think it is also knocking on the door to the Oscars ceremony you have to see it because yes, it is necessary 🥺❤
My fave reviewer! Boy when you were talking about getting emotional and people saying something. I was like "WHO?" you got me ready to throw hands over you lol. That's how much I love you and your content. I love your spirit. 😊💕

So at 18:16 the person with the raffia on is the representation of your ancestors. So basically they let him be young and have his fun but now they are calling him back home for him to fulfill his purpose.
That 70 ft weave was made from all of the edges she done snatched.

18:10 The film was trying to represent him waking up from the "Life", cars, jewelry and faceless women, and then Scar wakes him up and he is reminded that he has RESPONSIBILITIES, he has to become king, he has No time for HAKUNA MATATAS, and then Already comes on telling him it's time to become king.....I think alot of ppl forget that this film also follows the Lion King Movie, Like Find Your Way Back is the stars talking to Simba, the same stars that Mufasa mentions right before the song starts.....Ima HUGE Lion King Fan so I caught Alll them subs loll

This film reminds me of all of the lessons and conversations that my parents had with me and my older brother about African-American cultures. Like I remember the trips to B-More, so we can go to the wax museum. The books about African-American inventors. The years of positive affirmations. Our family coming to our defense. The discipline when we needed. Idk, this film just makes me remember my deep appreciation for their initiative of making sure we know and are proud of ourselves, our people and of our cultures.
I can understand so much when you feel the emotion from this visual. I empathise ❤️

I get it. I’ve listened to the album so many times. I think I cried the first 6 times I played Brown Skin Girls so I wasn’t expecting to get emotional when I saw the video especially since the album came out a year ago.
