By far, the best bang for the buck is $55 mega stars box. 16 packs. Almost every pack has a foil. I’ve never opened this many packs jammed packed with bonus cards. Problem with the numbered cards is they are players people don’t want.

Not sure if you've covered it, but a video covering HRC cards would be cool. Picking a day based on double headers, stadium, weather, opponent, etc. can help immensely.

I'm doing terrible on the home run challenge this year. Been a day late or early like 5 times. I won on a Lindor but that's it.

Meijer upcharge- +$3 per fat pack +$5 per blaster +$10 per monster (minimum) Unfortunately, Buy 1 get 1 40% off is the only time to buy there. In that case you pay $2 less than the competitors everyday prices, but you have to buy twice as much in order to get that deal… 🤔 B1G1 50% off is ideal. Good to keep in mind! Well for the sake of Science I appreciate your dedication and hard work to figure out the best odds and format you should go for. I can't believe how long you have been doing this on KZread. Thanks for being transparent all the way around with all you do on KZread! I wish content creators had integrity and actually cared about the subscriber and or channel supportor and wasn't padding pockets like government workers. I hope to find some hanger boxes in the wild but it is not very easy in California especially when I can afford. Sorry for the rambling on just wanted to say thank you to my #1 guy on KZread!

Told you Fanatics will ruin the HOBBY. Too expensive for this game nearly ruined by greedy Manfred and his Globalist anti American political agendas. I have lost interest the hobby now. So many stupid parallels, crap boring inserts. Photography that lacks variation. Score 96 is better, cannot companies sent their own photographers anymore.?

In a retail fat pack for 2023 Series 1 I bought randomly at a Shoppers Drug Mart (think Canadian version of CVS) and pulled a James Outman RC Auto

Huge huge gamble. As you said, they're for the impulse buy or a quick cheap buy for the kid that wants a pack. I think Jabs family opened like 15 fat packs and hit a 1/1 printing plate.

I got a Triston Casas 35 anniversary relic from a fanatics box I don’t think it’s worth anything but I like it. I also got a Pete Crowarmstrong auto out of a series 1 fat pack.

Thanks for the video. Earlier this year my brother in Indiana got nailed at Meijers for $40 per blaster on 2024 Bowman. No Thank You. There are too many other ways to spend a buck on cards which is why I'll do an exhaustive search on the big boy e-tailers mentioned here and in store. We really don't HAVE to early adopt every set of cards. Not a whole lot of finding boxes/packs "in the wild" in Orange County, CA anyway unless you go to an LCS which might still sell Hangers and Blasters. At some point in my travels I'll hook a right into the parking lot of the Target/Walmart where I've spotted new product in the past, but most my newest release money will be spent online or at the LCS if they are being reasonable.

Opened 4 fat packs. Got purple holofoil #/799 and a 89 all star memorabilia card. Not saying they aren’t bad. I just got lucky lol

Hanger are definitely bangers. Found a royal blue foil Ohtani /999 in the very first hanger I opened and I already sold it next day. My blaster box didn’t feel as juicy as the hanger box.

Experiences, formats and years differ. I recently got a 20 pack 2023 update display box for $35 from D & A. I pulled a black 35th J. J. Bleday /199 auto, a Pete Alonso bat relic, 2 gold's /2023, 3 silver foils, two Stars of MLB chrome, 2 color base numbered and 10 other inserts. As good as a hobby box.

I opened 4 fanatics blasters yesterday. Absolutely LOADED. Hit a Dominguez HFA, hit an auto, hit 4 numbered cards, and a teal Yamamoto

Just grabbed 3 retail packs & the results: Pack 1 = 13 base 1 SMLB Pack 2 = 12 base 1 Alarm card 1 SMLB 1 Around the Horn Bagwell Pack 3 = 13 base 1 SMLB $16 now removes all future thoughts on anymore. As a bonus, the traffic took a backseat to alarm distribution --> Logic or Neurologic

My buddy pulled a triple auto from a fat pack. Gleyber torres Jasson Dominguez and Anthony Volpe . The card was a 1/1 also.

I bought 2 value packs at my fred myer store and paid 6.99 each. I got the Jackson Holliday Short Print (batting).

I opened a 16 pack box of Topps series 2 I was surprised at how good of a box it was. I like the new sparkling 35th anniversary cards. I pulled a Yoshinobu Yamamoto rookie 35th anniversary sparkling card. And a regular rookie. I am also shocked that it's a different photo then the regular base Rookie Card. Maybe it's a variant. Or just because it's a 35th anniversary. I don't know. I just finished opening the box 20 minutes ago. I got a gold border Jordan Lawler rookie card numbered to /2024, I was shocked when I pulled a first pitch wembanyama card. I also pulled a junior caminero rookie card numbered to/50. I pulled a city to city foil Julio Rodriguez. I don't know what the value is for them but I was Very happy with what I got. I also got a couple of other good cards but those stood out

I pulled a /10 HOF auto from a display box. Obviously snag a sealed box if you can verse single packs.

Fat packs I found at Walmart were $7.99. They were bad. The collation was real bad too, each pack had multiple duplicates. I definitely won't buy anymore of those.

I go to Meijers every Thursday morning to get groceries and they never have anything. It's in a popular suburb outside of Cleveland well all the athletes and well off people live. Apparently they don't mind the markup.

Hey Y'all, here's my breakdown of what I got from 3 megas, to me they seemed banging. Low end autos, but got Eric Davis Black 1989 to 50 auto and Jose Ferrer auto (1989 base). Plus I got Gunnar Henderson gold foilboard and a Mariano Rivera green foil board. Not counting the Elly Inserts and all the foil boards, pretty sure I got my money back..plus I had a Wemby base to boot.

I think being a set collector, would love to have a format with just base and skip all the junk.

Hey Stryker, just opened a mega box where most of the base cards are missing the gloss. Pulled a Shota RC without the gloss. Do you think it has any more value than one with the gloss?

I bought 2 fanatic boxes one was fine but the other was glued together and every blue parallel was upside down in the pack and some packs only had 10 cards.

I bought a retail display for 65. Pulled a camo brandon pfaadt. Otherwise, it was pretty lackluster.

Id rather have the numbered paralells than the rainbow or blues though so fat packs defenitely

Meijer does trading card sales every three months or so, that's the only time I'll buy from them given the upcharge. The purple Meijers also don't seem to hold as much value as you'd hope and that's if they're not already dinged up.

I randomly found 2 fat packs left at target for $6 so I grabbed both and I pulled a Derek Jeter game used relic! 😄

Pulled a JASSON DOMINGUEZ Winning Material Relic/Auto # 50 out a Walmart fat pack

So when it comes to value is the mega box the best bet ?

Are blasters/hangers a decent buy? Can't afford hobby boxes, but an occasional smaller box every once in a while is a possibility. Is one better than the other?

I actually bought a fat pack a few weeks ago and got 2 numbered cards, one /499 and another /799

Hit a few Targets yestday. All I found was one fat pack at $7.99 I think? Anyways pulled a purple #/799 and a Masyn Winn Stars of MLB as my best cards. Not bad I guess.

Here's some weird numbers in my own experience so far with S2. I have opened 1 Jumbo, 8 Megas, 13 Hangers, and 1 Display Retail. Most interestingly to me, I have pulled just 3 Shohei base cards, 2 of them out of my last 2 Megas tonight. Elly was tough in S1, but would have had 4-5 at least in that amount of packs. The best pulls have been a Gold Foilboard of Juan Soto 1989 All Star (gorgeous card), a Golden Mirror of Max Scherzer (retail box!), a Dominguez HFA, a Soderstrom HFA in a hanger, a Purple Holofoil of Gunnar, a Gold Gunnar, a 1989 Kyle Hurt rookie auto in a hanger, a True Photo, and two team color borders. Now that I have the 3 Shohei's, should be able to complete 3 sets. 😂😂😂

My $30 pack came with one gold, a silver card(don’t know the actual name) and a hotdog shiny rainbow with two parallel cards. And a stars of mlb Ohtani

I wish you could see what I got in my display box, 23 special cards, including 3 numbered cards, 2 Aaron judge, 1covering the field shoei otani, 2 rainbow foils, 5 Allstars foilboards(otani, bichette,votto,rutshchman, soto &otani, all sta jazz c., blue retail sonny gray, home run ch. Lindor, speckle blue numbered canha, green speckle miranda, lga aaron judge, ss-b aaron judge, r. Foils of freeman & paris. All of this plus 1 of the shiny mlb's plus the reg. Mlbs, including otani.

10$ straight robbery but at my local target and Walmart 6-7$ not bad

Was able to buy of the small cellos packs in a sealed box for 35.00 at Target . The vendor didn’t open it up . They couldn’t figure out the price ..

took a mega box, 6 blasters and 4 hobby boxes to put a set together... found only one card 660 out of all that

Did Topps stop making the collector tins? I haven't seen any of them since 2021. I really liked them.

Walgreens hike up the prices too. Hangers for 15 and then I get on eBay and I could have gotten em for 7.95. smh. It was an impulse buy but wow. Some places will rob the heck outta ya. Shop around first!!

I pulled 5 golds out of one value pack 😱

They are $7 around me, at Target, Lids etc. To expensive even at that, should be $5 product. I hit tons of stuff out of 2022 Series 1 fat packs, HFA's, autos, even a dual auto /5, but I waited until they were on clearance for around $3.50.

Haven't watched yet. But in 2022 one in every other display boxes had HFAs, however at that were low player HFAs but just to note.

I’ve bought fat packs at Walmart for $7.96. I’m putting together a few base sets and fat packs have a different coalition. But now way would I pay $9.99. I did see a KZread video where someone pulled a printing plate out of a fat pack.

First time I bet opened hobby and was incredible. Same with jumbo Series 1 destroyed it with hits

I find it interesting that a company like Fanatics, who has exclusive rights with the mlb players' union, continue to water down their product line, essentially putting little to nothing in their retail offerings while continually raising prices. Would it be asking too much to add relics and autographs on a more consistent basis instead of waiting for an act of god or a miracle from the heavens? Seriously, loosen up the purse strings before it's too late, and they drive away all the collectors. It's really quite pathetic.

I stopped going to Meyer. I dont even wanna know what they have. It's all marked up.
