Hey everyone! First I want to say I am surprised by the large amount of views this video has! I'm not on KZread often so this is cool to see! Now, I read some comments and I would like to clarify a few things. When I say "fake", I am talking about the eBay listings that claim to sell "Brand new". The phones with a clearly used (legit) motherboard and fake plastic shell are not "brand new" in my opinion, which is why I claimed they were "fake" in that regard. You could say they are refurbrished though. Also I made a mistake in the video: one viewer pointed out that the European 1600 does have a transparent keypad. Sorry about that! Anyways, to clear any confusion: the motherboard is legit, the rest may not.

Poorly refurbished at that. Almost all parts are non-original except for the board and other small parts.

So, in fact, they are not fake, they are legitimate phones with low quality screen, third party battery and low quality replacement shells. Those bad quality replacement parts were very common in the heyday of those Nokia phones and were a cheaper option if you could not afford a proper original part.

Finally, somebody adressing this problem! Although they might have an original motherboard, they are still cheap refurbs, so I, as a collector, try my best in avoiding these and sticking around to OG parts and phones! Btw, a quick clarification: The keypad on the fake one is actually based on the original one, since the keypad was actually transparent here in Europe, but rubbery in the US.

Refurbished phones are not fake, the only thing low quality is the housing/casing used because nowadays Nokia doesn't make authentic casing anymore, their source is a third-party manufacturer from China.

So basically just a cheap repair or bad refurbs. Everyone used to get third party housings for nokias back in the day. Remember customising the 5110 or the 3210's

its practically impossible to find a real Nokia 1280 here, all of the listings online were the fake ones. one way i could tell after a while i got the real deal is the real 1280 has the Bounce game and the fake just lacks it..

Phones from different regions have different games. My 1208 from Brazil doesn't have Rapid Roll but instead (funnily enough) a soccer game

Well, this is an original phone, it just has a trashy case, keypad, screen, etc. The motherboard however is original

Oh, and about the backdoor of the phone. You stated that there is a different kind of plastic, and believe it or not, the fake one is a better option, since the original one is probably made from soft touch plastic which will get nasty sooner or later.

This is definitely an original Nokia with replaced spare parts. The motherboard is original and so is the Operating system. This handsets are basically Refurbished devices. The very idea of your video is flawed.

I don't get why there's even fakes for Nokia. Total waste of time and money producing these crap. Why not just list the original one for a lowered down price? These fakes are nothing but manufactured e-waste!!!
