"All Who Remain" Lyrics:
Tell the one above he’s a criminal
For taking and giving life like marble candy
Everything collapses around me
Overwhelms and astounds me
A Terrible Truth
When you leave this life, the world will be a darker place for
All Who Remain
The light you gave the human race will go away...
I see you every time that I close my eyes
I Hum every lullaby that you used to sing
You never know the last time you’ll see someone
So give them all of your love
Cos they’ll disappear
When you leave this life, the world will be a darker place for
All Who Remain
The light you gave the human race will go away...
If I can’t have you in this life
Then I don’t want this life at all
Cos there’s nothing in this broken world
That I’ll ever love as much
I called and
I called you never picked up
I cried and I cried but you never woke up
You died and died without asking me first
You left me all alone here on Earth
When you leave this life the world will be a darker place for
All Who Remain

I think about my husband when I listen to this. He died this June after we found out he had cancer in March before his birthday. He died five days short of us knowing each other for three years. Never knew someone could love me as much as he did. Never knew that I could love someone as much as him either. I'll live like you told me to babe. I'll make my dreams reality. For you.

My philosophy on death is this. I wouldn't want people crying, wasting their time mourning, or being sad for my passing. I would want them to think about the good times, celebrate the life that was lived and live every minute. I want there to be singing and dancing at my funeral, a knockdown dragout party!

eagle0468 I don't think most people can do this though,as much as a person believes they won't be missed there's plenty that will make you think otherwise

FemmeFatalee Listen, don't take this the wrong way, but his is because most people are selfish. And think about this. When a person dies, you mourn, cry and are depressed because you are not going to be able to have them in YOUR life anymore. The fact that their life has ended is really not the reason people are mourning. I know you might disagree, but if you rationalize it, you'll understand what I'm talking about. See death is a finality, there is nothing else after it, for the living anyway. Therefore, the only thing you have left when someone dies is the memory. And, unless your memory of that person is sad and depressing, then by focusing on those memories, you can celebrate that persons life in a positive, grateful and happy manner. That's all I'm saying.

I always remember my mom whenever I listen to this song. "I called and I called but you never pick up I cried and I cried but you never woke up You died, you died without asking me first You left me all alone here on earth" I was only 5 years old when she died, so these line(s) will always be iconic to me. That's what I literally did, begging my mom to wake up, calling her "mama" for many times, I cry before I fall asleep. It's been 9 years since she left us, it's so hard to grow up without a mom, but thanks to my siblings I grew up so well. They did my mom's part even tho they also need her. It's so hard to let go and move on knowing that my brother is with her now (my brother died in year 2019) THAT'S WHY THIS BECAME MY FAVORITE SONG, MY COMFORT SONG. P.s. Sorry if I am grammatically incorrect :p

To this day she’s all I care about. But I’ll never be good enough to come back. Broke her heart and left her with a kid to raise on her own and started a new family searching for someone who I love no where near as much as I love her. I wish I could go back home but I’ll forever walk with my head down in the shame I deserve.

A very good song - coming from an old broad, married to a musician and raised by one. The arrangement is beautiful, musically and lyrically. A bit dark for me who has lost many but relish in the fact that I will see them again in Heaven. I do feel some of the raw pain of losing someone close while young and being 'done' with everything. You live minute by minute in your pain - but I assure those in that pain, it does get better. You miss them, but you go on.

Nice one, bros. Not sure if this guy experienced a sad event like this in his life or not, but it's nice he can express the emotion needed for the part. When or If any of us leave this world, we'll darken this world, or someone else's world.

He's just got a certain presence about him! I think he really puts a lot of heart into what he writes about and few musicians today even write there own songs! I promise everyone here I bet he's the next big thing watch~!
