I think the sassiness started way earlier than that, lol. I couldn't blame her. I got tired of how Brandon was allowed to do whatever he wanted, but they never let Brenda off the hook.

It pisses me off (watching repeats) how they treated Brenda vs how they treated Brandon. I know they (mostly Jim) came down on Brandon here and there, but not the way he did Brenda, especially when it came to dating. I know the whole “as long as you live under our roof/in this house… you’ll abide by our rules” etc… but he was a complete hypocrite… such a double standard. Plus he did set them up… then still complained later on… wtf??!!?? She may’ve still been living with them, but Brenda was a whole grown ass adult…. Yet they treated her like she was still a teen. Brandon (SAME AGE) got to do whatever… and let’s not forget he had a girl in his room (Sheryl in this case) and jim barely said anything .

....I AGREE wit'cha, but probably 70%, Ash....you know Brenda has a UTERUS! ...ha-HAA!! ...But, seriously... Brenda IS an Adult, but Jim is concerned moreso about pregnancies & out-of-wedlock S-x, with Brenda...Dylan gave 'Bren' SOME close calls, and that ramped up Jim's concerns... (cont.) ...They give Brandon more leeway because he PROVED to be responsible, and handle his OWN situations accordingly....But, by the time Brenda put her bags DOWN in 90210, she was causin' HEADACHES! ...ha-HAA!! ...I LOVED Brenda, and Shannen was THE central force of the Show, but.....It's DIFFERENT for Girls......¯\_(ツ)_/¯.....

I can relate to Brenda from that aspect. It was awful. In my family, traditionally a woman doesn't leave home until they are married. I was the first to break the cycle, and my mother (to this very day) still isn't crazy about me being on my own. If I had to live my life up to my parent's expectations all the time, I would NEVER grow and learn to do things on my own or experience life the way I should. I would be at my parent's mercy all the time.

I hate that this is her last season

i dont say it proudly but i woulda been snatched up even at her adult age ...word of advice doesnt matter what you do, how much you work , make ,your accomplishments your folks will always try to tell you what to do. I encourage you young ppl move if you can live life before you get old and regretful.

my mom was like this when i was in college hence why i moved on campus...im 41 her excuse is "i had to get use to you being an adult" she still tries to tell me what to do its white noise at this point LOL...

Brenda's parents are so cute. Sitting in the stairs waiting for Brenda....parents!

You can tell her partying ways were catching up to her by this season. Still sad she had to leave the show. Really wanted her to end up with Dylan.
