2017 was really the only year Rosé was actually promoted as a main vocal and was allowed to appear on singing shows and because of this rookie Rosé was offered so many collabs but they all got declined by that stupid company. But now she's finally appearing on Sea of Hope after 4 years. I'm so excited to hear her sing some covers again

I mean, what are you to do? Idol groups are tightly controlled, both their image and sound, especially YG after their 2NE1 break up. Obviously right now, the girls are appearing in a lot more variety shows and Jisoo even has a kdrama coming up. But this explosion of participation came AFTER their US breakthrough with Coachella and also, YG himself stepping down after the BI incident. I do think they would've went full steam if Covid didn't happen, but then again, Covid did throw a wrench in a lot of kpop.

@@jac1207 that's not true. they've always been promoting jennie and lisa and jisoo since predebut whether it was collabs or acting or mcing or through dancing. rosé was always hidden until she appeared on two shows in 2017 and then they stopped allowing her to have solo gigs and focused on the others for years again even delaying rosé's solo debut for 3 years even though rosé said she was ready to release gone back in 2018/19.

ji kooks and most of the time this “losing your voice” happens MUCH later after her career after she has all the fame and money. You can hear her predebut performances SHE SOUNDS THE SAME it’s just she sings constantly higher since Jisoos voice is lower

If you listen to her collab thingy with gdragon(i think it was him), you can tell her voice hasn’t changed, she’s just added a hindi style to her vocals, it’s not really present here but you can hear it really cleary in butterfly, boombayah and some other things

Guys her voice improved so much! It seems more strong and balance (I can't point out the word) good job rose!!!

MaKaveli im pretty sure its because the song is in english, ive noticed she's way more comfortable singing in english, even though shes been in korea for 5 years it can still be a challenge for her to sing comfortably in korean.

she will improve, me as a blink i don't mind the criticism as it helps my rosie gets better and better each time, which is proved here , but i hate it when eople use it against her !! either way , i like her voice here , and y'all keep writing comments ! and i hope rosé reads them and use them as motivation to practice and improve even more

Pheebs I get what you're saying, but it seems like it's her ordinary act, she originally seems kind of shy and plus she has an aussie accent, plus her members do say that she has aegyo in her everyday speech and aegyo is usually high pitch and cutesy, but who knows. Still in love with Rosey

Pheebs Yeah, but tbh i don't think there's anything wrong with a girl trying to look cute in front of a camera. Some male and female idols does it and i think of it as a part of a fan service. But Rosé seems to get hate even on the articles not related to those things. She actually doesn't sound like that while she's speaking english. I admit, she does goes over the top sometimes, but i thinks she sounds little more cutsey while speaking in Korean and Japanese even without trying, probably because of her voice. I don't think this should be a reason to hate somebody, when we don't even know what she's like in real life. All things aside, i think she's a really sweet girl who's only trying to fulfuill her dreams.
