My old channel and looking back I was right.

This song won a Daytime Emmy in 2007 for Best Aong from an Animated Children's series.

"Q-tip" is not completely a single word. The "Q" really stands for "quality."

The only other word that doesn’t start with a qu sound is “qi” which I believe is a word of Chinese philosophy

Most words starting with "Q" are followed by "U," but there are many words that don't, such as Qin, Qingdao, Qatar, etc. These words are usually borrowed words from Chinese or Arabic. And if the Q is pronounced like a ch sound, you can know that it's definitely borrowed from Chinese.

I still have the album, by the way. It's a CD from Chick-fil-A called "Royal Tales", and it's full of songs and stories mentioning kings and queens.

Even though this song gives you the wrong idea about Q, it has a catchy tune.

Technically, there are 71 words that have a Q without a U. Grant it, the vast majority of them are Arabic and all the others are also non-English words, but they are words. And if those don't count, I believe 'Qwerty' does count.

Yes, then there are "qat" and "Qin," but the target audience would be too young to understand those... although the Q who was singing the song *did* mention "Iraq." And none of those "Q Without You" are the English language's own words. Those are just loanwords... and "Qwerty" (another one) is not really a real word... only some short form of a code on how the letters on anyone's computer keyboard are arranged.
