MILLIONS // LYRICS
[BEFORE]
Millions... watch them fly overhead
Now please take me with you
I’ve lost my perspective
You left me alone
Alone and trembling
My chin jolting back and forth... sounds soar around
The shield you once were... my life you would defend
Sounds soar around
In my world there is only us
Bring me with you to soar
This dreadful collapsing scent... you never strive for more
Millions fly overhead
Fog dancing slavery... like snakes circling
Small angle jeopardy
Millions

im a huge everything metal fan, believe it or not its literally all I listen to. there's something about certain songs that can just hit u man. if ur here reading this im pretty sure u know what im talking about. so much respect n love for other bands totally, but oh my fucking god this is literally the best song I have ever listened to. that shit hits and then u get the extreme chills, your throat drops, and you heart just breaks in the literal best way possible.

Every time I hear a BTBAM song its always a mix of things I LOVE and things that don’t sit well with me. I’ve come to just embrace it and enjoy the ride.

CockTailWoC Well I may be able to answer that. BTBAM is progressive metal, and prog has been around since the 70’s and its all about experimentation. Doing weird new things and strange complicated concepts. Most prog music requires you to listen deeper and listen for the little details in the music. Its like a wine, as you discover more it gets better! It’s really fun.

I feel this more of a Giles album than a BTBAM album. Some parts just feel too "oh I'm gonna put a creepy spoken word part over this part", like almost trying too hard to be experimental to the point it doesnt feel natural. I'm trying to be constructive, not negative but some parts are just so awkward I almost laugh. My all-time favourite band still but I'm glad they knew to call this "part 1", if there was no hint of anything to follow this could almost be disappointing. I am only 2 listens through so there is room for growth. My mind is open, I'd like to keep hearing everyone's opinions on this one.

Same for me. Take ‘Fossil Genera’ for example. It has that catchy, goofy, heavy opening and then it brutally kicks the shit out of you for about 7 minutes before going into the amazing “We must move on” section. If you skip the ride and just jump to the end, it doesn’t carry anywhere near the impact.

This is exactly what I was hoping for!! They managed to keep an almost poppy level of catchiness throughout the whole album, but its still technical and a lot heavier than they've sounded in a while. I love prog metal, but a lot of it ignores the power of a well placed catchy tune where technicality takes back seat for a second.

Btbam has a strange ability to rewire your brain as you listen.. it sounds like noise and static at first, so it's like watching a movie on 5x.. too much input.. but your brain starts to recognize the patterns, and it's like it slows down, and the music becomes visible.. like those magic eye illusions.. I've never heard another band who can do this

Eric Becker I just think it's funny.....Planetary Duality was amazing. Then their vocalist Derek quit. Then four years went by. Then Autotheism came out. Then their drummer Lyle quit. Then their bassist Evan quit. Keene replaced them all. Then those replacements quit. And so on. That's when I figured it was him.

Always excited to see more from these guys. I think they're the band that actually got me into metal by showing me its true majesty.

Ever single album is a brilliant evolution with this band. I remember hearing Colors on release and thinking it would never surpass those moments. Years later, everything these guys touch is pure gold. Keep down this path BTBAM and ignore the haters of the prog elements.

The concept for the album combined with this music video makes it so fucking sad. Homeboy is just dreaming about finding the family he'd lost.

BTBAM. I love how this song is dialed back from previous BTBAM songs. It has space to groove and isn't overly technical while still being very technical. NICE WORK.
