May God bless your dear Dad. I miss my Dad.
Your father did a great job. I just went flying with my dad and it was a process to let him do 1 radio call...that said, my dad isn't a pilot. Enjoyed the video
I just got back from flying my 58 Baron, flipped open the iPad, sunk into my easy chair, and immediately fell in love with this video. Like some of the others who have posted. This video reminded me of many great flights with my Dad, someplace fun for a meal back in the 1980's, in our trusty 1964 Skyhawk! My Dad like yours seemed to always get breakfast. For him, it was eggs benedict! This December it will be 8 years since he passed. Cherish these times, as it appears that you both are, they will not last forever.
Love the father/son flights.... Like always a great video!!

Subliem, I do also love the Father And Son flight, formidabel, And Adorabele.
I love videos where you are teaching. Proficient and confident pilots make it look easy, but your training flights show the work that truly go into any flight.
So wonderful to see father and son - and father listening to son. Nice transition both in the plane and the relationship.
He smoked that landing... smooth as butter. Thumbs up to the ‘ol man!!!
Your dad did a great job man and you're a great instructor.
I'm with you Dad, hard to pass up a nice big breakfast!
Love your videos, I to am a private pilot (Multi-engine, Instrument). My father got me into aviation, he was a ATP with United for 30 years. Before that he was in the Army Air Corp flying B-29's out of China and then Titian. We co-owned a Cessna 421 for a number of years till he lost his medical and no longer could fly. I couldn't afford to keep the plane myself so we sold it off. I was sad because I had 1352 hours in that aircraft. He and I would fly up to Lake Long Lodge in Wisconsin, play a round of 18 holes, have dinner and then fly home. My father passed many years ago but some of my best memories are flying with him. Enjoy the time and remember it all.. Keep up the great videos.
This video had that Mr Aviation feel. I really enjoyed it. Thanks
Great video. I enjoyed the interaction between you and your dad. I am in my middle 60's and both parents passed away decades ago. I miss both of my parents, but I really miss hanging out with my dad. Spend as much time with him as you can. Keep the videos coming.
If only my approaches were so good! Nice video - I do appreciate the IFR videos w/ approaches.
Love your videos. Took a discovery flight on Friday and I can’t wait to start lessons!
My dad and I did the same thing but in a Cherokee 140. Later on advanced to a Commanche 260 which was fun because I got to do all the flying & landings from the right seat. Memories are the best ☺
Nice job, Dad. It’s a pleasure watching your training.
Flying with your Dad, priceless, mine passed before he had the chance to fly with me as a new pilot. Love the videos.....especially this one, thank you, 🇺🇸✈️👍🏻
So awesome that you get to do stuff like this with your Dad. That's what life is about. Keep 'em coming.
WOW, Awesome, LOVED IT!!! Got my PPL at 59 and Instrument at 60, so you CAN teach us “Old-Dogs” new tricks!! Keep the training posts coming, LOVING the Father/Son QUALITY TIME!!!!!
Truly this video captured what we love about flying and especially time with Dad.
So far 9 people don't know how to appreciate the hard work to produce a video. Good job Josh!
great father son flight. Always enjoy those times with your dad. Wish I could have done flights like this with my dad.
Priceless moments with your dad Thanks for sharing them with us I never fail to be amazed as to how anyone could give you a thumbs down for this particular video well done can't wait for the next one
That music as you guys cleared the tops of the clouds was pretty clutch. Cool moods thrown in there.
Well done Josh! Breaking out of the undercast on top is my favorite thing in aviation. We did that down and back on our Bahamas trip we just got back from. Having an instrument rating provides a great deal more utility out of our planes. Congrats on teaching your dad his IR!
Awesome. So glad you concentrated on the instruments.
Excellent video and great time with your dad. You can see the respect he has for your instructor skills.
Love watching you and your dad fly together. Reminds me of my son and i flying our Tiger.. and yes, he's teaching me the ropes of instrument flying too! God speed!
great video.. can't get enough of the father / son flights! great job!!!
Dad did a great job- it is great that you can both enjoy flying together. Little beats popping out of the bottom of a cloud to see that you’re lined up with that runway and the work has paid off!
Love this vid Josh. Back to the old style vids or full immersive flying, education and flying for fun. Enjoyed the recent ones but like this route! Keep up the good work! Blue skies and safe landing from Blighty 👨🏻✈️🛩
So great to able to fly wth your Dad.very professional video as always.
a great video! loved how you talked through the procedures and coached your dad
One of my favorite videos...awesome stuff Josh. Thanks for sharing your life:
May God bless you both with more IFR days and nights to come and a great approach
I always love to fly our 150m with my son too ,we both pilots , it’s such a great and rewarding feeling. God bless .keep those great videos coming . Thanks
Awesome flight guys. Excellent job on your IFR approach pops
Always good stuff, love your flights.
Great video! Love the way you walk through what you're doing every minute of the flight. Dad has a pretty good teacher!
Can't beat the view between layers. 😃
I'm with your dad, I could eat breakfast 24/7. Can't beat a good stack of pancakes and an order of biscuits & gravy. Awesome video!
Thanks for another outstanding video Josh. I'm so used to watching IFR videos where inputs are given and the autopilot complies. This video shows just how much more work is involved to stay on course and maintain altitude while hand flying in IFR conditions. Well done by Father and Son. One hell of a team.
Thank you guys. I learn much from you. Really enjoy the instructional vids. Keep em coming.
lovely video. Thanks for sharing. Best dad Captain!!
I’ve ate at the airport diner many times. Sitting next to the windows watching the planes come and go can’t be beat. I sure enjoy your videos Josh! Keep up the good work.
Your a great teacher Josh and your Dad did awesome thanks for sharing.
Awesome! Love IFR. Thanks!
Your videos are some of the best as far as seeing full processes carried out safely and by the book. My dad is a huge reason as to why I am a pilot today, definitely time well worth spending.
Your dads reaction when you climbed thru the first layer reminded me of myself in IFR training. Great video, thanks for sharing.
Excellent IFR demonstration! Thanks!
Great teaching moment and good job on instructing dad and dad, great job flying to the airport. Enjoyed the flight
As much as both my dad and I loved planes and aviation, I'm sad that he was gone before I ever had the chance to have him as a passenger. You got a good thing going, Josh!
Its awesome to watch you fly with your dad. When you give him information, you are direct, accurate and totally respectful. He is clearly a proud father. As a former pilot, I thoroughly enjoy your videos, thanks for sharing.
This was my favorite "flying" video that I've seen so far on KZread, and I've watched plenty. Why? Because, I'm watching this video and putting myself in the dad/student's seat. He's got 10x more pressure than his son/instructor: A new experience and awash in information to process (flying the plane, navigating, talking to ATC, AND listening to instructor). I'm impressed (but not surprised) by how well he does. Single hands don't clap, so kudos to Josh for the great job he did balancing the amount of support vs. pressure on his dad. He managed the lesson very well. Bravo!
Such good content. Keep it up Josh
Wonderful father/son team!
Awesome instruction and clear explanations!
Great teaching video!! Love the camera view of the instrument cluster too.
Very well done great content you are fortunate to be able to fly with your dad thanks for doing what you do
I enjoyed every second of this video. Good stuff! :)
Great video, you are a true professional and I have seen so much growth in you over the short tie I have been watching your videos.
Great video! Props to your dad on a nice IFR and for letting you share it.
Thank You for sharing.
Great vid's as always! To your Dad, Fantastic Job! Looking forward to getting my instrument rating. Take care!
Both meals looked yummy! An outing with your Dad also makes the food taste so much better I'll wager. Good Video Josh, Cheers from Canada.
this hits close to home. I learned to fly at Gary AFB, and soloed at the old auxiliary base west of Clear Springs. Long time ago.
Very nice! I was flying back from Pickens to Hilton Head yesterday rocking the sandwich between the clouds! Was so beautiful. Flew right over the Savannah River Site too!
Great video Josh!! :) God Bless you both.
Great job as usual, Josh. Starting my private lessons Sunday, and hoping to fly with my Dad very soon too! Thanks for the motivation and encouragement.
Great that you get to fly with your dad and teach him the Art of IFR flying!
really nice approach .. congrats to your dad.. keep the good content coming !!
How cool! Gonna share this with my sons. Thank you.
For not flying IFR in a couple of months, your dad handled the flight and approach very well. Being a student pilot myself, I try to copy the IFR instructions and read them back before you do. Getting better each time. Really enjoying the videos Josh !
beautiful approach and landing!!!! greased it in!!!
What a great video. Timeless.
Love it! keep the IFR coming! I have my IFR checkride next week!!!
Hey Josh, another great video for sure. Your dad is getting right on the ball with the ifr stuff. I felt like I was riding along (wish I was too) thanks again
Great job! Keep the videos coming.
Haha hah . Your dad is so funny talking about "weight and balance" after all that great food. Good luck and happy landings with your dad. Thanks for sharing.
At 0:36 you show the ramp at your home airport and it's great to see the nose of a vintage T-33. Love it. Thanks for showing, also, the training to go and use the IFR. Us total non-pilots love to see how these instruments actually work and how they aid flying in adverse conditions.
Cool family interaction; beautiful. ❤️
Love these types of your videos.
As always, awesome video. My father and I (both pilots) have a great friendship as well. Love these father/som videos.
Love the video, love the Hangar Hotel and diner!
Great job Dad! You looked comfortable and proficient. Your IFR is coming along nicely.
A fantastic video! I know the adventure of flying to an airport diner for lunch or breakfast. Looking forward to the next adventure.
Love these type of videos!!!
Nice and instructive flight. I really appreciate this type of video, specially the father and son friendship. From Argentina, my best regards!
Great video!
Dad must be a real proud father to get to fly with an ABSOLUTELY knowledgeable and fine SON. Great job Dad and CONGRATS to you both on a fantastic job. I'm an instrument pilot myself (actually retired Commercial ) but still with the passion for flying and getting in shape to knock some rust off. Oh by the way Son, I enjoy all your videos too. They're great to watch👍👍👍
Just subbed! Great father/son flight! Reminded me of the times I've eaten at the local dinner at KMRB where I took flight lessons.
Love those videos with your Dad.. tell him to hang in there with the IFR...
You never disappoint!😃
So good to see your dad back in the drivers seat again gotta live the food at the airport dinner dads gettin real good at that IFR stuff then look at who he has as an instructor go Dad !
Perfect timing for me to see this video. Started my IFR training 2 weeks ago. 3rd flight today here in SoCal and still like drinking from a fire hose! 3 different approaches back to back each time. 1 plus hour of very busy flight time, return rather drained! Flying 3 days this week so hope by Friday things will get a bit “easier”. 😄 Keep up the great videos Josh!
Like your pop! Thanks for posting.
Great video. Must really be nice being able to help your Dad with his instrument training. Congrats guys, well done.
Just catching up on videos. Your dad did a great job! Cracked me up, "don't sneeze"
Moments to Always remember Josh
It's so nice to see this dynamic. Hopefully one day I can fly with my father too. ❤️
