ultimately responsibility lies with you the business owner that's why it is important to have an HR person or learn HR and put a proper policy in place including performance review and disciplinary policy. Remember the buck stops with the owner, also always schedule sessions and meetings with employees to receive feedback on the working of your business; whether negative or positive and let them give suggestions on how to improve the business. This guy's feedback could have helped her a lot. Hope she considers this in her next venture and makes changes..

The bottom line is, when you run a business and you are taking out more than what is coming in, you run into these issues. Living a life that is higher than what you can afford just to show people a celebrity life, it will take a toll on you. This is not the 1st time this has happened to Betty and the sister. They need to live a life they can afford to keep the business running. This rent issues keeps happening in this family it is not the 1st time. This is now when the issue is coming out in the public.

Aki wakenya tunapenda negativity ghaii...Mbona watu wanaona tu the closed business. How about the newly opened business? what about the branch in Meru which is doing so good. Restructuring business is a normal thing for business people and this includes closing down others etc.

From a positive point of it, this guy is making alot of sense, value your employees than your the interiors and accessories you have installed. Location also matters. Expensive services are shortlived

This is very stupid and wrong. He was earning his salary ,with or without poor service. If he thinks he knows better than his former employer he should have left or gone to open his better one. Talking shit about your employer yet you have no 'balls' to open your own is nonsense. Has he opened his own better than hers and is Betty the first woman to close a business?

Very good interview. Mediocre people do not like criticism and that's why a lot of things in this country are stagnant. When something fails, it helps to carefully assess why it failed so as not to repeat the same mistakes and fail again and again. Compare NBA post-game player and coach interviews and post-mortems after a loss versus Kenya Football Federation post game interviews and post-mortems after a loss and understand the difference between a great league and a joke.
