Even though Calum didn't win the competition he became a huge superstar anyway - winning isn't what is important on these talent shows, it's getting your foot in the door. Calum's audition is one of my all-time favorites ever. Right now there is a kid named Eli Huli who is going to be HUGE who is competing on a talent show, he probably won't win though.

not really, these shows r finding MARKETABLE voices and people not REAL TALENTED voices and people, ive seen some pretty good singers with good technique that didnt get thru cuz their voice aint 'unique' enough

They actually do that a lot... on all Got Talent programs. Especially for original songs. Though sometimes they have them singing a different song in the background. But if you pay attention, you hear it is them.

Wow! Calum Scott was incredible covering such a great song! Amazing voice, especially in high notes, the judges were even impressed almost immediately. He deserved the golden button for sure! I'm speechless on what an amazing performance 👏

Remember watching the episode with Calum. And I remember having goosebumps from head to toe. He is so great. His voice is so hauntingly beautiful.

Calum Scott's performance is my favorite of all the singing shows, of all time, from the first american Idol, to current day. It's unfiltered magic how vulnerable and naked he seems, paired with a truly unique voice that isn't trying to be unique. It's pure and real. There have been better singers on the stage, better sob stories, better talent overall, but nothing has topped how this made me feel. The one with the blind autistic kid is a close second, but that one's more about watching a miracle than the performance itself.

Calum Scott looked so nervous, he couldnt keep still, he was shaking and his voice was still so good.. the judges, audience and backstage people looked so sad..They even gulped..Calum scott is amazing.

The fact callum just had to comfort his sister and was obviously heartbroken for her....and he then nailed that audition with an all time performance is incredible. He's so talented. You can tell he was so nervous, the pressure in that moment...you have to be amazing to kill it in situations like this. Just chills every time, I fall in love every time. And how overjoyed his sister was for him, just everything about it made this the greatest talent show moment of all time for me

I swear, Callum in that one BGT clip could be the next Adam Levine if he wanted to. He just sounds so close and so perfect, I get goosebumps

Alex and Sierra literally gave me chills! Amazing!

Simon proved here that he DOES know talent. Robyn's Dancing on My Own is SUCH an incredible song that I absolutely loved before this and when I heard Callum's version for the first time (when he subsequently produced this version Commercially) I recognised it was as equally good as Robyn's original. For Simon to recognise that quality in an audition like this is impressive.

Better than the original? Oh, common! A version of a song doesn't get better than the original just because it's slower or acoustic. The original artist (Robyn) sang it the way it was supposed to be sang, mixing the instrumentals with the lyrics in a coherent way

@@archerzo slowing down a song doesn't make a version better. It's a cliche that is used all the time precisely because they know most people fall for it. Again: The lyrics clearly fit better as a storyline to Robyn's version because that's the place the person in the narrative was supposed to be

What i said is my opinion, not a mere fact. We all have different opinions, different tastes in music. Such as many people are into heavy metal. I'm more into easy listening. Nothing wrong with that. The reason i said callums is better is because i reckon he has a distinctive voice. If you reckon robyns version is better, that's fine, i respect your opinion. But you dont trample ones opinion just because you think differently especially when you don't know why people think that way.
