Better than Moab? Red rock Warner Valley dirt bike loop (with maps)

This was our first time exploring the red rock cliffs above Warner Valley, near St. George (Utah), heading out along the mesa and returning below. A mix of rocky Jeep Roads and flowing singletrack, we barely touched the surface of what is available. The route we used was from my own GPS tracks. The total loop was about 50 miles.
We have ridden Moab before, but honestly came away wanting to return again to St. George for next year between the 2 locations. We plan on bringing more riders along and tackling some of the harder trails along this loop (skipped on our ride due to time constraint and just trying to see how long the general route would take). This route can be modified to be as easy or as hard enduro-esk as you want!
Feel free to like, comment, and subscribe, and I hope this inspires some other adventures!

So having been there now (thanks for the trail info and maps !) I would agree in Some ways it’s better than Moab . Lots of fun , warmer, and as challenging as you want to make it with the trail options. Best part is no one was there , no long lines of jeeps and razors. Let the masses keep doing Moab and we will head here for some quieter winter riding trails :)

I love everything about this!!! I have two little daughters that are still on little bikes (90 and 110 CC motors, and 12" front tires...). And this video makes me so freak'n excited for the day that I get to have this kind of experience with them! I love the look of this trail. I will ride it this summer. ...also, give your awesome dad a legit fist bump for me.

Thanks! My dad definitely put in his time putting behind me for years weekend after weekend. I joke that he must have hoped it would be worth it. He went through quite a few spark plugs.

Great video! How cool is it that you get to share this with your pops! I get to ride in some cool areas but hands down Sand Hollow and Warner Valley are some of my favorites. I could spend a lifetime exploring out there. Thanks for sharing, fun to watch! 👍✌

Thanks for the video. Coming from south of Vegas in AZ, Moab is a 8+ hour ride this will cut about 5 hours out. Good to see people riding as a family.

Thanks Brent! My other rides from this trip matched my planned routes exactly, but this one was a challenge, choosing which sections to leave out for time's sake. If you want gps tracks or just some insider tips on the area, feel free to reach out through my channel email. While not red rock riding, I will say my overall favorite loop in the area is the one from my "Riding rollercoaster singletrack" video.

This was awesome!! Thank you for sharing this video. The overall video quality, your editing, plus your text banners, including the Austin Powers inserts, make this video stand out. Great job on the video and the overall ride itself. There appeared to be a few challenging areas, but you demonstrated your skills quite well. I would like to add that you are very fortunate to have your dad accompany you on trips like this (I have not yet seen your other videos, but will sometime), so kudos to your dad. I also spent many years riding behind my son, who started on a CRF 50 (at age 4), then progressing through various bike sizes, ultimately to a full sized bike in his early teens and, shortly after, "dad" became "too slow." We got to ride in many places, including 3 trips to Moab, Utah, which currently remains our favorite place (I love to photograph scenery and places of interest). Never made it to the St George area, but thanks to your video, we hope to get out there someday. None the less, many memories made riding dirt bikes with my son. I hope you and your dad continue to ride together. Many thanks, again, for your efforts and for sharing. I will review your video, on bike prep and equipment, shortly (I will subscribe).

Thank you for all the compliments! It takes a lot of time to edit these videos, so I appreciate when someone notices. I cannot reccomend this area enough, I have a few other videos from this trip too, and hope you and your son make it out there. Also, it is much easier to be a better rider when you have a parent who can teach you. My dad definitely put in the time and now I am dragging him around for rides. He's not too slow yet (Also he's a good trail mechanic to have around).

@@misstrails Thank you for your response note. I agree that you always need a good mechanic along with some key spare parts (for longer rides). That is likely why they still drag me along on these types of rides...I am a pretty good trip planner plus continue to be handy with a wrench. My son and I shall look forward to our next out of town adventure together...maybe someday in the St. George area. Ride safe, and never alone.

Moab is in the middle of nowhere and so difficult to get to. Really never understood why people drive all the way over there.
