Northern winter eats switchgrass alive. Sure, it will pop up after the snow is gone, but that may not be for five months. Switchgrass alone is not enough to last as your only screening option. Evergreens are nice, but they take a long time. Consider silky willow cuttings! Deer don't browse on them, they don't get too tall and block your view from the blind, and they are effortless to install.
