i just find it adorable how you need sticks and forget that the chopping block makes them

i highly reccomend researdhing antibioctics and making them as soon as possible they will save you during winter

I found out that it's best to make one big building with corridors, and have the beds/canteen/workshop/etc inside without the need of them going outside. They only go outside to farm. When it gets really cold, you'll see why it's best to keep them inside as much as possible :)

The colony has grown so well. And the research went a lot faster than I ever could have expected. I’d love to know why people are getting sick, though. That’s a little alarming. Almost as alarming as the constant bug attacks. Lol. Also, I think maybe the power lines were just connecting to nearby rooms not beds, so you don’t have to specifically send power to each place you built? I couldn’t really tell, though. I like the automatic connections, either way. That and the automatic stairs that got built just make everything easier. Such a small touch, but I like it. And the little things like the colonists talking to each other and sleeping in different ways and having varied diets is another great detail, imo. I only hope the vegetarian doesn’t get upset if you use leather for the carpet in her room. 😅

Agreed I'd like to see more, maybe a few longer videos or streams? These first to videos were great but went by too quick

Do not forget to store Food for winter time study electric and metalcrafting to make a fridge etc and do not neglect cloth for winter time . Yeah its a great game already not even out fully . Yeah is going good so far keep it up that way i like the LP.

I like this game a lot. I’m a lil mad at my self because I built along a river and it’s so far from everything! I got way to much stuff to move tho!

I love the alien planet with earth style trees. 😅

To be fair if the planet is safe for humans it's probably pretty environmentally similar, causing wildlife to evolve similarly as well

just in case you haven't figured out why yet, the power pole connections, it wasnt the bed it was trying to connect to, it was the corner of the building

There is 2 things you should Do as soon as you can. Observe literally everything in your surroundings And get spaceship deconstruction as the FIRST research you do it is the most important research as it will give you not just scrap metals but also a bunch of other stuff such as electronics and sometimes even guns. I am generally surprised you survived this long. Lady luck is the sole reason none of your colonists didn't die

I think researching weapons is the most important... but it would be a good second research... you need to guarantee your people are armed for the bugs... and there is only 1 pistol that is guaranteed from your starting pod... so better to research weapons and guarantee you get some than risk it on salvaging and not finding anything...

@@arcanumelite4853 I disagree. Spaceship deconstruction have a chance of giving you more weapons. One time I even got the rail sniper. Yes the best gun in the current version of the game. Spaceship deconstruction also give you electronics, power cells, liquid fuel. In any crashlanding situation even in real life you wanna salvage EVERYTHING that you can from the crash first. It could provide everything.

I would never recruit a vegetarian in this game because my first game I had a very capable and valuable vegetarian dumb enough to die of starvation my first winter. I say dumb because they had an oversupply of red meat. Vegetables are almost impossible to preserve until you research canning. Oh, and that grain opens research into antibiotics, which is prob the most important tech. Also in my first game, my entire crew died from a flu epidemic and my game ended. I always prioritize, grain observation antibiotics research first.

i wonder if you get electronics from breaking down the spaceships

The reviews on Steam say at the 3 to 4 year mark the game because all most unplayable because of bugs. I'm curious if you run into that.

Much prefer your narration over others covering the game. Also i agree with you that there is so much to do and it seems never enough hands. Why are they getting sick????

The ai got all stupid and bugged out in my second try they wouldn't bring anything back to storage .I would have them got out hunt cut trees down and bushes and they would just leave it on the ground and they all starved to death 😂🤣

is kana still makin fabric and wasting resources? u put her up on forever for cloth fabric. does he ever remember to stop that?

My first time playing had another character just turn up around 12 days or so in. I think it's totally random but I could be wrong.

@@Grillmastah they can show up arriving at your camp thru random events where they notice your town and ask to join... or you can go looking for the others yourself thru expeditions

Ok, it may have something to do with the seed, I've used "LIVING-HELL" as a seed name now on a second game, both times on day 7 Anette arrived.

@@Grillmastah the other survivors can occasionally show up at your camp after seeing it from a distance and ask to join... or you can send your people on expeditions across the planet looking for the other survivors/resources...

30 bucks for an early access game seems so much, very cool looking game but $30 put it out of reach for me.

Weird opinion, if you converted this game to rimworld graphics, you wouldn't be able to tell if it was rimworld or not. Going from the cartoon 2D world to the 3D of this does introduce some building differences, but it's still the same concept where you base build and have some tower defense mechanics. I'm a bit suppressed you can "steal" another devs game at this level, but I guess that the system can't be protected, so since they have made some major changes in story that is enough. There is a ton of games that come out is a gigantic success and suddenly you get this wave of copies where they are not even hiding who they stole the concepts from. Like Factorio, where half the games has the SAME name as the original.

Lol? saying this copied rimworld is like saying rimworld copied dwarf fortress, yes they are very similar games but thats just because their the same genre just like Saints row is to GTA both are the same but both offer something different and unique

this game is Surviving the Aftermath lol the game looks better tho
