Now you see why Mike grows to care about Jesse. Jesse reminds him of his son Matt is many ways

Then why was mike trying to kill Jesse in season 3? It seems like he would have cared for Jesse from the beginning if he reminded him of Matty
Jonathan Banks got snubbed of an Emmy with this performance. Great acting by him

He was nominated, lost to Peter Dinklage. In his acceptance speech Dinklage pretty much conceded that Banks should have won it. This was the first of many, many Emmy's that the cast & crew of BCS have been robbed of.

Couldnt agree more
one of the best episodes of the entire series. the acting from jonathan banks is unreal.
This was the episode that really made me hate Walt even more for killing Mike in BB

Always loved Walt, but felt a deep hatred for him when he shot Mike. And I'm right there with you, this episode multiplied it tenfold.
One of my favorite episodes of Better Call Saul. Jonathan Banks really killed it, bringing out a whole other side of Mike in this episode. I remember back when you reacted to episode one, when you saw Mike for the first time you said something along the lines of: "I hope it's not just a cameo." and this episode instantly came to my mind. You will enjoy this show, it just gets better and better and better. Cherish every moment of it!
“I broke my boy” Jonathan Banks delivers such a powerful performance here. I was in such awe the first time I saw that and that feeling does not lessen with repeated viewing. He was nominated for “Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series” in 2015 because of this. He lost to Peter Dinklage from GOT. Dinklage, after winning the Emmy, singles out J. Banks by name, believing Banks should have won. You can KZread search their names under “Emmy 2015 Peter Dinklage Jonathan Banks” if you wish to see this.
This is one of my favorite epsiodes of BCS and its in the list of favorites for all of the breaking bad universe. Jonathon banks should have won an Emmy. Every time I hear his speech and he says the words "i broke my boy" I cry so damn hard.
I just love the backstorys. This show just gets better each season,
Vets have antibiotics and can do stitches. Corrupt ones will skip calling the cops as regular doctors are required to do when they treat a gunshot wound.
Yeah, maybe someday I'll be able to watch a recap of this ep and not tear up at the line "I broke my boy." but I doubt it. Johnathan Banks' performance in that scene is IMO the all time greatest acting performance in all of BB/BCS.

Yeah me too. As a father of a couple boys.....man oh man. Puts a knife in my heart
This might be my #1 episode out of this series or BB. Mike talking about Matt just hits me a certain kind of way
The ghost behind you makes you look like a nurse from the 60s.

That is the weirdest comment out of context that is also true.
I've been following BCS since it first aired in 2015. I saw this episode the day after it first premiered. It's now 2020 and I STILL get teary eyed listening to Mike tell the story.
"I broke my boy" breaks me every time.
I measure the character of people by how they react to this episode. You did very well :)
That last scene always gets me.....
That scene with Mike and his daughter! So good! This was the ep where I was all in. What great writing. So happy the they chose Saul and Mike to develop and they did it so well. The writers gave them such dimension.
Poor Mike :´(
When Jimmy pulls away from the security booth in the previous episode but it lingers on Mike, that was when I knew, it's gonna be a Mike show as well and by God I love it.
You do awesome reactions. Thank you.
Mikes story makes it all the more sad by the way he went out in Breaking Bad.

It really adds depth to the tragedy of Mike's character.
Easily one of my favorite episode of BCS AND BB!!
Great reaction, hopefully they don't copyright block it this time.
This episode really made me take this show seriously. Until here, I thought this how would just be fin and games, but oh boy was I wrong 😂
Any luck on ep 3?
