Howard’s demise is the most shocking moment in the entire BB/BCS Universe, not gonna lie.

i remember i was flying back home from vacation when this episode aired. I was in boarding waiting to get on the plane and decided to watch this on my phone with my headphones in. When what happened to howard, I legit screamed hella loud "OOOH FUUUUU!" and just eyes staring at me. It was so unexpected lol

The cockroach did, indeed, give Lalo an idea. When Kim went to see Lalo in jail, he told her "your man, he's like the cucaracha, ya know...born survivor". Kinda sad Jimmy is the cockroach here, but thats it.

It is so good that by this episode we see Kim literally directing the action. Your reaction shows just how great Rhea's acting was, as she reacted the exact same way. When Howard was shot, my jaw genuinely dropped. It was the first time I knew what that felt like. Such a brilliantly-written and... executed ... story.

I was in a state of shock for a solid hour after watching this live on AMC. Then the reality set in that I would have to wait a year for the next episode and I was so sad.

Howard's death was perfect symbolism for this whole show...standing on the tracks, just watching the train coming closer to smash us to pieces. We already know how this entire story ends, the true tragedy is seeing how we get there. As soon as we see Lalo, we know Howard's dead, but it still stretches out just a bit to let us really soak in the heartbreak.

Hey Krissy, I had a bad feeling too at the start of this Episode when I first watched it. One could definitely say that Howard was never going to win Boss of the Year, however for Jimmy and (like you say) Kim as well took their payback too far. I still take issue with them both even after rewatching 2 years later.... The next few Episodes are wild and like someone told me when I first watched BCS, I would "never look at BB the same way again."..You will be the judge of that my friend. ✌❤

I hate Kim and Jimmy with all my soul for all this, for what? Howard didn't deserve what happened to him, They didn't kill him but they are totally guilty.

Gotta say that the animosity between Kim and Koward rivals that of Chuck and Jimmy, and I'm even willing to say it's more interesting and more complex because of how much is left unsaid. Where Chuck simply resented Jimmy for not being who he wanted him to be, I don't think I would be able to simplify Kim and Howard's relationship in just a few words. Both of them are the most complex characters in the show. Even to this day, I still don't fully understand Kim Wexler. I know there's her humble beginnings. Her godly ability to compartimentalize. Her selective coldness. Her flexible morality. Her passion for her own views of justice. Her explosive determination. Her giant ego. And her addiction to scamming people. On the other hand, there's Howard. Her opposite. His family's affluence. His pacifism and his godly ability to tolerate all the trouble Chuck, Kim, Jimmy, and even his wife put him through. His charisma. His quiet determination. His loyalty. And his pride. These two deserve an Emmy.
