Maybe the tank size is less and oscar fish are territorial.

Feed them variety of food like pellets, food sticks, blood worms, meal worms and shrimp. Perform regular water changes and maintain right water parameters. You'll need to upgrade your tank size in future if you want to watch them grow to fully adult size.

They just seperated their stems and kept for good display purpose. For long life they need soil to grow properly.
