    Here's WHY you're not easily familiar with Beth Hart. Beth has walked a long, difficult road. Only true blues affectionados are aware of her prowess. She was composing songs and playing Beethoven on the piano at the age of 4. Beth won Star Search in 1993. Got a contract with Atlantic Records and put out 3 albums before they cut her loose for her behaviors and addictions. Beth was born a severe bipolar ... full-blown. Father abandoned entire family early in the game. He reconciled with all of her siblings, except her, because she was "strange". Beth was ashamed and blamed herself. She started self-medicating her bipolar with drugs and alcohol at a young age. Fast forward through the addictions, arrest, suicide attempt and anorexia. She was even committed at one point. Beth is now clean and sober and takes her bipolar meds regularly. Blues guitarist/composer/singer Joe Bonamassa took her on, after she was totally clean. Beth now also tours by herself. NO female vocalist has her range AND control. Beth's 2020 tour schedule is now on-line. Beth SANGS the blues because she's lived them. Welcome to the world of Beth Hart. Enjoy the ride.

    One of her most famous performances "Am I The One" live at Paradiso is a song she wrote and also performed at that Star Search that she won. I would recommend anyone that hasn't seen that performance to see it.It's so phenomenal and breath taking she brings out her Joplinesque style of singing in it's fullest.

    @@evilvolts IThat was in Paradiso in Amsterdam I was there. A world performance and then to think that she got a chance because they were not convinced that there would be an audience. It turned out that the ticket sales went so fast that they had to switch to the main hall. She has had a special relationship with the Netherlands ever since.

    Beth comes from a place of real pain from a young child experiencing abuse and abandonment to dealing with bipolar and substance abuse. That caused her to lose a recording contract, but she is clean now and brimming with talent and stage presence. She is a force and it will be fun seeing you get to know her. I believe that Joe B. is the one who gave her the chance to get back to performing and they have amazing chemistry together. He is a force in his own right.

    OH Yeah !!! I've said she's the greatest female vocalist of all time ! She's not Human ! I've listened to her for a long time and I'm yet to find words to justify her voice ! If anyone finds those words... please post them because I'd love to see what they are ! Absolutely Amazing beyond anything I've ever seen in my life ! I remember the first time I watched a video of her... I literally lost my mind and just about drove everyone else crazy making them watch the video with me 😂 Love her.

    Just a hint for you, don't do research before you react. Because if you research first you have already got an idea what you are going to be listening too. Much better to have a true reaction, then if you liked go and research the artist, artists or group.

  • @DLynn

    Hello! I did the "go in blind" approach for my first reaction. I got completely criticized for _not_ knowing the backstory of a particular live performance, even though my reaction and opinion would have been the same. So, that is why I do the smallest amount of research first. I'm guessing there's something that you disapprove of here, which I guess proves the saying "you can't please everyone" is true.

  • @porkycrook

    @porkycrook

    D. Lynn it wasn't meant as a criticism but my preference. After all said and done it's your video and you can do as you like, but for me I would rather see a true reaction. But you do one thing right, that is you don't like stopping a video to chat and I would rather that than someone that stops at every note or thought they have. I did give you a thumbs up and I will go and watch more from you before subscribing. Can I ask what's the idea of being in the car, better sound, noisy kids/husband or are you homeless lol? Only joking on the last bit, it's my British humour. Good luck for the elections on Tuesda, hope you get what you want whoever and whatever that is.

    @@porkycrook I want to be done with the political nonsense, really...not sure if it will end with my vote, but I did it anyways. I get what you're saying, but what is a "true" reaction? To me, it's watching/listening to something for the first time without any prior knowledge, history, etc. Yes, I might look things up, but Wikipedia doesn't tell me what the song _sounds_ like, or what other nuances, visuals or anything else that might happen in the vid. As I mentioned, I do the slightest research, so that I don't offend the hard-core fans of any group or artist with complete ignorance. There is still an element of surprise for me in the vids I react to...as for personal preferences, I can't possibly comply to everyone's, but I of course appreciate feedback. As far as where I film, my car is just where it happens. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Some of the Christmas presents have been sorted although the way they swoon over them and there voices, let alone good looks I think I won't be getting any Christmas lovin, if you know what I mean 😜.
