I'd say it's not so much the reason she does things like this, it's the reason she get's away with it repeatedly for sure though. Beth is an extreme example of what happens when childhood trauma goes unresolved, allied to a sense of entitlement fostered by the ability to lash out with little to no consequence. Possibly one of the best written (and acted) characters I've seen on TV for a long time. While there is I feel some exaggeration in her storyline (this is a fictional entertainment show after all so that's expected), she is still a very believable character. It is so nice to see a complex character like her in todays tv.

The look on that woman's face when Beth says "my sister-in-law!" The cops actually claimed it was voluntary, like she had a choice here and the last name excuse. So what if her last name is Long, you going to use that excuse in court too? Constitutional rights apply to everyone, not just the wealthy white (of course many times, that's not true in practice, as can be seen here). What they did to Monica here is heartbreaking and humiliating... and illegal, not that they care... at least not until Beth showed up and they realized that the woman they picked on is part of a wealthy family with strong backing. Beth may have a lot of issues but I like how she handled this!

I’ll be damned, so everybody, not just the wealthy “white” have Constitutional rights? Maybe everyone could stop saying Black, White, Indian, Mexican etc, we could stop the senseless racism. White people are being torn down, discriminated against with hatred and racism like never before. We don’t need to point out someone’s race. Love and fairness does not require that. Rant over and thank you for reading. ( If you think I’m white, think again. I’m just tired of seeing and reading all the BS.)
@mikewoodson6930

Space Alien I wish I knew. I agree with your statement. There are too many powerful men and women that benefit and profit from racism. Maybe if “we” could figure out a way to keep these same people from profiting “we” might slow down or even stop a lot of racism. I for one will not refer to people’s race unless it’s needed or necessary. ✌️

She was thankful she said so. I don't know the scene how Beth got to be there. But Monica got profiled by the store owners, and Beth showed Monica loyalty and the store owners won't do that again.

@@dawnchristensen7492 Yes, Monica called her from the store..
I love her face when she said Sister in Law
That owner is lucky she didn’t get in legal trouble. False reporting of a crime to police is a crime in itself
I thought I had found what I had been asking for but, alas, you came up a bit short Paramount. This may be my favorite scene out of two full seasons of Yellowstone but could you please release the full scene to us. This abbreviated segment is great but it really gets interesting after this video ends. Maybe one of Beth's finest moments! Thanks for two great seasons and looking forward to June, 2020, it's going to be a long winter.
The satisfaction I got from this scene was everything!!!

It would've been different if I knew she wasn't going to go too far! If you think about it, there's no satisfaction to be had here. The native American girl was not comfortable with Beth behaving that way. I would not like someone to be a bully in my name. She wasn't doing it for the girl. She just liked the power. You wouldn't have got much satisfaction if you showed up to do your shopping at that point and Beth kicked you out!
Most people would stay home and let those wounds heal. Beth is wearing them like a badge of honor.

"You should see the other guy" energy
The look of horror and shock on Veronica’s face when she said she was her sister-in-law was awesome as she realized she was in deep shit
F____!!!! The Best don't mess with Beth or the Dutton's, she's tough but Family is Family don't mess with them wrongly, Or you'll regret it. Love this Yellowstone and all the actors

@@dianaparret1013 I know, hopefully we'll find out next season. I can't imagine what he possibly could have done to her to deserve that kind of wrath..I know I'm in the minority, but cannot stand Beth! Only time I have liked her in 2 seasons was when she defended Monica in the store. That was awesome. Maybe next season she'll change and begin to act like a human being..holding my breath! Great show all around!! 😌

@John Isom Not sure what your post means, but Beth has definitely mellowed out this season so far..liking her alot more than earlier seasons. It's like she's on meds of some sort to keep her calmer. In any case, love her and RIP together and glad to have found out why she hates Jamie so much! Fabulous show all around!!!!

Beth actually has a lot of love and compassion in her but only gives it where it's deserved. She loves her family, she just sees and cuts through their bullshit. Smartest of the bunch, she sees them where they don't see themselves. People say she is complex, she really isn't at all.
This is the scene that made me decide to watch Yellowstone and man I wouldn’t mind watching every episode once a year. Such an awesome show ❤
Oh, Beth!! That lady is a hand full, no make that 2 hand fulls!!! Lmao
OMG I love this scene!!!!
Beth is a pure menace in this scene, I'm terrified and impressed. Love this scene.
0:13 The moment that you knew you fucked up something fierce.
"where is she?" "who?" "my sister in law" life flashing before her eyes
Beth owns every scene she is in.
She is one damn good actress. And I absolutely love her kickers character that is so amazingly written.

i love Beth to death! she has an awesome personality! Among the best female characters for sure.
Best to be careful whom you choose to mess with...sometimes family members take offense to such wrongings 😂😂
Beth is like an adult version of badass Ruth from Ozark 🖤
Oh that Beth Dutton!!! 😁 Get em Beth!!!
This is one of my favorite Beth moments
