I’m glad Donnie mentioned Michael and Whitney’s albums being pushed back. Because if those albums came out too early, both of them would’ve flopped. Thank God that didn’t happen.
I loved all those artists he named. Even David Bowie, who i had a big crushed on.

Donnie mentioned both Michael's and Whitney's new albums. Little did anybody else know they were going to break records and make more history.

Hmmmm....🤔🤔🤔 This was from the first week of February. Donnie mentioned Jody's "smash hit" single ("Looking for a New Love"), however, it didn't become a hit on the R&B charts until March of that year, and didn't cross over hit on the Pop charts until May! Additionally, the video hadn't even come out yet, from what I see online (it didn't debut until March), so I'm guessing the "smash hit" reference was simply due to the song's huge popularity on radio at that point!

Jody performed that song on Soul Train on December 27, 1986 (that episode aired two days after Christmas) and I saw that episode while the show was in reruns a decade ago.
