RIP Biz Markie. My 12 year daughter, like many youngsters today, learned of Biz Markie because of Wild n Out and she cried when I told her of Biz passing. So Biz Markie was definitely that rapper that we loved from the 80ies, when I was 6 yrs old, to now. This is definitely a huge loss not just to Hip Hop, but humanity. A great soul has transitioned on. 🖤💙💚

I have been watching Biz Markie when I was a little girl me and my father we watch him on bet and your TV raps it was so much fun to watch him on TV my father remember him we all remember Biz Markie he's a true legend we will never forget about him we always gon remember him and the late great DMX and many others it was so much memory we always going to remember the Hip Hop legends from back in the old days they had a best life I would never forget that

I salute you and all the creative souls from the early days who developed this music, this art collective, known to the world as Hip Hop. I grew up in the 80's. I remember when hip hop was hated, considered a societal threat, ignored by mainstream broadcasting, and had bougie blacks turning their noses up. What you brothas (and sistas) started in your basement, in the worst of times and places and against all odds, has spread to farthest stretches of the earth. You make me even more proud to be black. And because of you, Biz' legacy will never die.

I would gladly trade any today's so-called rappers for this icon to live in a heartbeat! Smh
