Great review I like how you do it. I had no idea that had the air feature in the front until I watched your video that is a game changer for me. My opinion that beats yes welder, Arccaptain, and all the rest. You should review some Everlast welders. I have the MTS 275 and absolutely love that machine.

Oh yeah that air adjust and ease of setting it is a game changer for sure and ive used it more now since this video and its still great. If everlast would contact me to do reviews i would for sure, but im sure my channel is too small for them to bother with. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Great video Ron! I have a wonderful Thermal Dynamics Cutmaster 81 but its high-frequency (HF) seriously affects the CNC controller for a plasma table I'm building. I had considered the Bestarc brand (sadly only available in HF) and had tried the 65A non-HF Yeswelder unit you previously reviewed, but I had to return it as the PCB mounts got broken in transit. I finally went with a CNC-ready 53A blow-back unit from Arcfony, the CUT-53N PRO, that I got for 400CAD.

Thanks man, thats too bad the yes welder didnt work out for you. Hopefully Bestarc gets their non high frequency version figured out pretty soon as i think it may be a great little unit! Hopefully the one you got will serve you well. Thanks for watching and commenting!

I had my BTC650DP for a couple weeks now and curiosity got the best of me about the output. I put a meter around the ground cable, set the machine to 65 amps and cut some 3/8 plate. The meter only measure 50.5 amps output. I emailed Bestarc and they said that was the limit of the machine. No response on why they advertise it as a 65 amp model. Also at max air setting for 65 amps, my pilot arc will pulse on/off about every second (on 220v) no matter if I had the PA set for 3sec or 15 sec. It would work fine on 110v. Looking through the manual it states that a nozzle with a 3/64" orifice is good for 0-40 amps and a 1/16" orifice is good from 40-80 amps. The only tips that came with mine have a 1mm orifice (.039"). 3/64" translates into .045" or about 1.15mm. I ordered some bigger tips and the on/off pulsing of the pilot arc I had went away. I have yet to see if the stated voltage output is accurate. The fan eventually goes off too. With that said, It will still cut 3/4" plate "ok". Not bad for the $348 I got it for.

Yeah it seems to be a pretty decent plasma for the money. I never noticed any surging with mine when maxed out. I wish they would ship them with both nozzle sizes, but it did cut 1/2" plate fine with the small oriface. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Still have it, nothing left to do on it, no one to go wheeling with so we just use it around the yard like a side by side.

My welders are on a 50 amp breaker, and this plasma cutter shares the plug with the welders.

Would it cut through 1/2” AR500 plate? Are certain steels harder to cut through than others?

Oh yeah it should cut that i would think. Ive never tried to cut harder steel than mild, but i would think steel is steel.
