thanks for the vid bro, my computer was running fine when the game first dropped then shot down to like 60fps mid game and made it virtually unplayable. I put in all the settings and it instantly shot up to like 400+. you da man!

@@TechGuides Reduced latency does not reduced latency ? The game says to use DX12 if Windows 10 or later but DX11 is always better ? So the game gives false informations. It's ridiculous.

Unfortunatdly I cant really test end-to-end latency so I simply dont know. But on Nvidia Reflex Low latency is definitely the preferred method which also yields higher FPS

@@TechGuidesi had one other question, did reflection quality increase have any kind of visual change? Only reason i ask is because it actually affects the look of skins and player models. You can tell the difference when you turn it off completely in the config file. Thanks!

I would suggest everyone to test by themselves each dx version, in my case dx12 has better fps (330) than dx11 (170). Tested on firing range at 1080p res

Thank you very much for your video 💖 It has finally allowed me to see the visual differences, but above all to finally have stable FPS (DX12 was the cause of my problems, it seems). I only set “Spot Shadows Resolution” to Ultra because the other settings make the shadows on the characters blink (at the start and end of the match) 🤔 It's just a detail but it's very unsettling even if the characters aren't what we see the most during a match 😅

Amazing video. I did some further tweaks by editing the config and I ended up getting a noticeable performance improvement by disabling Anti-aliasing, ambient occlusion and turning off some post process effects. Somehow the big performance winner for me was turning off TAA. However rendering scale setting wont fo anything if you turn it off. Would love to see if you maybe could check and test it out on both your systems. All I wanted was for my laptop 1660 ti to keep a consistent 144fps at 1920x1440 and this made it possible.

@@TechGuides Awesome! Once again thank you for the high quality uploads. Super helpful and very clear to follow. Two further additions to the config shenanigans that I tried out: - Disabling shadows ofc brightens the overall map, BUT some maps (Showtime and Echelon HQ) become unplayable due to the way shadows are used on the game - Disabling Vignette will cause a quite a blinding effect when being healed. Like your whole screen gets a very blinding blue tone that gets very difficult to play with while you're being healed. Aight ciao ciao back to getting rolled in XDefiant lmao

If you’re having massive stuttering issues I would switch to dx12. I went from game borderline unplayable to smooth as butter. I’m on win11

It's really good that you compare AMD and Nvidia in your tests. There are really more demanding options depending on the manufacturer.

With 1080ti and mostly on low to medium settings, I am having stuttering problem in few maps

A couple of things you said are wrong for my system. I'm using a mini pc with the ryzen 9 6900hx, and directX 11 gives me less fps and more stuttering. Also, a smaller FOV gives me more fps. Maybe you should also try your advise on a lower spec system, I know it's more work but you can't say your guide is the best when you only test on high end systems with 200fps minimum.

Very possible, those are only applicable for 1440p too. Im afraid I can not possible test on more systems for these videos. I used to do a mid-range and high-range intel/Nvidia system but poeple wanted to see an AMD based system too ;)

For some reason the Reduce Latency setting makes my performance worse when turned off. My fps drops to around 145 and when enabled it's 230+. 5600X + 3070 at 1440p. I also lost the ability to alt + tab to desktop even though I only changed some of the quality options. Super weird.

Thats strange, I saw massively worse performance with it enabled but definitely use what works best for you! The alt-tab bug can be fixed by switching to Windowed Borderless and Back to Fullscreen. Then you can tab out of the game again

Reflex low latency limits your FPS so that GPU never waits for CPU and other way around, basically avoiding overloading your system which is what you would achieve with a fixed framerate limiter as well.

@@NoisR Thats just a bug the devs are aware of also sometimes you can fix this bug by going into borderless into windowed then into fullscreen or by going into borderless restarting game and then putting it on fullscreen.

@@NoisR Yeah when I played on MnK the cursor going on to my 2nd monitor got annoying but fullscreen doesn't fix that the option they have ingame to lock cursor the game window is also bugged and just doesn't work they are also aware of this bug and are working on a fix from what I've heard
