Best & Worst Cruise Staterooms on Royal Caribbean's Allure of the Seas
I'm back with a new video for Best & Worst Cruise Staterooms and today we cover the 2nd ship in the Oasis Class, the Allure of the Seas.
If you are an experienced RCCL cruiser, these videos are probably not for you. These videos are geared towards cruise novices or those new to @RoyalCaribbean
These videos are long and not intended to be watched in their entirety. Feel free to skip to the section you are interested in using the Chapters below.
As I mention in the video, check out @RoyalCaribbeanBlogfor all information about Royal Caribbean. I used CruiseStateroom.com for the deck plans.

I just booked deck 6, room 6684. Thank you so much for this video. It relieved my anxiety levels on whether or not we made the right decision.

Video is nice.
Great video! We booked the spacious interior for our family. We have a 3 year old and a 1 year old

That is awesome! I assume you mean category 1R? I always prefer more space over view. Have a great time

I think so! It is one of the staterooms you recommended. Ours is on the 11th floor. We will, thank you!
I just booked Boardwalk balcony stateroom #12729. It’s the last room on deck 12 at the aft end of the ship, with a view of the ocean and aqua theater. I took your recommendation and stayed away from the lower levels and zip line.

That’s great. It’s a long walk but to be able to watch the dive show from your balcony will be cool. I do recommend going and watching from the audience the first time. But after that, watching it from your balcony gives a different perspective
Hi Shannon! If I chose the interior guarantee for my family of four, will the ship pick a room that has a bunkbed or some sort of sleeping arrangement for my 2 kids? Or is there a chance we get just one bed for the four of us? Sorry if this is a dumb question. I have no idea what I am doing and trying to plan our first cruise without breaking the bank

Yes. They will only assign a room large enough for your family
8606 is available for my sailing. I like the idea of a little extra balcony space but am I better off with a room closer to the elevator?
@ShannonFord

Personally I would always choose close to an elevator rather than a bigger balcony. However everyone is different
Deck 12 and 14 are noisy? I’m afraid to book close to elevators what do you think?
@ShannonFord

Just below a public deck can be loud. I’ve never had an issue, but I have heard this from some. However, being close to the elevators is not. It’s not like a hotel, the elevators will still be at the very least around the corner.
My wife and I just booked 3858 and 3860 (L shaped room) for October. We'll surely add our pictures to the site when we return.

Hi! Are rooms next to the elevator really noisy? I'm thinking of doing deck 8 ocean view balcony but concerned about the noise from the elevator.

Not at all. The elevators are not close. It's not like a hotel. We always try to choose a room next to an elevator

Awesome, I was a bit worried about room 8566.
I just booked deck 7 room 7860 is that a nice area as far as motion? Thank you in advance
@ShannonFord

Do you mean 7680? There is no 7860. If you did, I think that’s a great location. After tends to be better regarding motion
Where should you book on the ship if you are prone to motion sickness? Interior?
@ShannonFord
Жыл бұрын
Lower decks. Mid-ship. Interior is fine but not necessary
@ShannonFord
Жыл бұрын
On a ship with a promenade. One of the promenade rooms on the lowest deck would be good. It would give you an interior view and would be midship
What is the “hump” and why is it advantageous?
@ShannonFord

Bigger balcony typically and it will be a central location.
Some of these staterooms appear nice although small. We prefer to cruise on a private yacht.

A completely different experience, the two are not comparable; each has its own attributes and intrinsic value. Having enjoyed both, there are times when the intimacy of a pvt yacht is preferred and visa versa. Overall, as I am less tolerant of crowds these days, the yacht is generally preferred.

Thanks for your opinion. They are two different types of ships. One definitely is not as well acclamated for the open seas as the other. We also like the serenity of the private yacht.
What was the name of the travel agency you said you use? I listened twice and couldn’t make it out.

Does anyone have information about room 6728?

No personal experience, but looking at the deck plan, it's a standard balcony at the end. Just be prepared to walk a lot. We had a Boardwalk Balcony once in a similar location (end of the row) and it was a hike to get to the closest elevator. It wasn't awful, but I wouldn't select that area again.
Not to sound mean but who really cares how big a balcony is and a room. You got a huge ship to go explore which you probably can’t even explore the whole ship in a week. I’m going in March don’t know which room just know it’s a balcony. Don’t plan on sitting in my room or balcony for more than I have to.

We don't care about balcony size, though a lot of people do. Cabin size though is different, especially with a child. Having even 20 extra square feet can feel like a lot in a small stateroom. Everyone is different.
