Description
Back at Cut and Grind and Jay is in the chair for a Beard Shape up. After two months you can see it’s starting to curl out a bit. Master Barber Jason Ecks plans to use that growth to accentuate some more fullness for this medium length beard. Jason wants to take up the neck just enough for a slightly different angle near the jaw. Then a trim on the stache to keep his clients meals as beard free as possible. The chin, still short will be left alone and just a minor graduated trim on the cheeks will finish off this beard shape up for Jay.
ABOUT BEARDBRAND
Beardbrand is a men’s grooming company that is helping men keep on growing by providing education and tools for urban beardsmen to master their morning routine. We’ve found that confidence starts with self investment, and allows men to do great things for their families, co-workers, and community. We are working to break down the negative stereotypes that surround bearded men, and show the world it’s the man who matters, not the way he looks.

The barber talks like Tom hardy and the customer looks like Tom hardy 😂💀
great tutorial! a lot of barbers need to see this, they don't know how to cut a full thick beard like that
Using a comb as a guard and guide is brilliant. Especially for tricky areas.
why do good beard barbers only live on youtube.

It says online that beard brand is based in Austin Texas but all I hear is British accents? Where can I go in England for a good hair cut and beard trim?
so did the balm change? or was it an off batch. Got a bit tense there in front of a customer!
@Beardbrand

+thingyee1118 we have two balms a Styling Balm and the Utility Balm. Also, fragrances will slightly affect the formulation so that's probably where Jay noticed a small difference between the Spiced Citrus & Tea Tree. Despite any small differences, they should perform the same across fragrances.

they've NOT changed it. styling balm is like beautiful glue for men. he's talking about utility balm which is more like grease. styling balm is fantastic. I get Tree Ranger two at a time.

What is the name of the second trimmer you used on the cheeks?
@coolz2334

For skin cuts, lining. It’s called trimmers or shaping trimmers. The first one he used earlier where is also used for hair is called clippers.
It's almost like a diamond
If you're there as a camera man, why would you start a disagreement/argument in front of a customer? Seems a bit unprofessional IMO. Especially if you don't know there are two different style balms.

+Canadian Bearded Hillbilly I don't mind the arguments but I did feel a little bit tense myself with that "I know the products better than you, I use them at home" stuff. seems a little bit childish to me to argue in front of a customer about that.

It's funny you watch these cuts some look amazing while others turn out terrible. Not the barbers fault I think beards just don't suit some people !

I think the moustache should never be touched actually if your intending of growing it out, if I'm going to eat or drink I just swipe it to the sides.
No arguing about the balm guys
Why do his eyes look afraid ?
My beard is now curling in & out It's also begun to follow the shape of my jawline which I don't like so much so I've contemplating cutting it. Any advice?
WOW...! The barber cut a lot...! My beard is a little bit bigger. I'm searching for the right cut, because I didn't find the right one yet... So I am just letting my beard to get bigger
@ChrisATW
7 жыл бұрын
I find that the bigger your beard gets, the harder it is to get a good cut or trim. It's like barbers are scared to do big beards, or they aren't too experienced with them
@gustavostoscano
7 жыл бұрын
I think you're right! . I go to the same barber for more than 5 years, but I think he cannot work well with big bears. Big beards may be one of his limitation. For "standards" beards, he is a good barber, but not so much with long beards. It is the second time he cut too much. I thnk I will have to change the barber. =/
i prefer, i like ,i wanna,...what about the customer?
Looks good but the not connecting to his sideburns is a no go, it looks weird
i am so jealous of the Barber and the Beard. I had my Barber give me a cut and trim and it turned out to be a total hack job but what pissed me of most was the 6 months of growing it out..!

MtnDew Drew Ahh shit I feel for you brother. I have had a lot of barbers say "Yeah leave it to me" acting like they know exactly what I want and they can do it piss easy...but reality kickes in and they end up seeing a angry face throughout the shave. I finally found the perfect Barber near where I live now! Hope you find yours one day soon!

I know exactly what you mean. I grew out a full beard for 2 months - did proper research on the most highly rated barber shop in my area and told the guy exactly what I wanted. 20 minutes later I came out looking like a dandy. I was so pissed.

natty power destroyer I think that's deliberate to differentiate the beard from head hair. Saying that, I don't like it
Am I the only one who thinks that this style beard reminds me of Jason Mamoa?
I usually grow a movember stash and goatee. On April 15 I let my facial hair go free. White m-grey hair and beard I guess sometime I will have to get a consult to get a style that suits me. I have no idea what want. Rather embarrassing
2:00 captions wtf lol
