An unconventional way to trick your brain into releasing your voice. If you tend to freeze when singing or speaking this will definitely help!

Long before I found this video, I was terrified to let anybody hear my singing voice even after I was in course in high school. One of the things I started doing was humming really low the easy parts of songs as I was walking down the street, and then walking down the aisles of grocery stores. I'm still terrified of people listening to my live voice, but I was still singing to Billie Eilish's "When The Party's Over" in the grocery store yesterday.... it has taken me 5 years to get to this point by myself, if I would have found this video, it wouldn't have taken me nearly the five years just to get to this point. Hell if I would have found all your videos when you started uploading them, I might have a side gig singing right now. I have been watching video after video and doing exercise after exercise, and it wasn't until I started finding your videos (about a week ago) that I truly started seeing a quick Improvement. I'm still struggling to stay on key as I'm singing, but I'm sure one of your video will pop up on my feed soon enough to help me. YES YES YES, my favorite of your videos so far. Love the data about the brain. Love the gibberish examples too. I figured out years ago how to use gibberish to break semantic 'scripts' when ever I'd get upset or riled up about things. Switching to silly does wonders. I feel silly for understanding this for speech but not really applying it to relaxing nerves when singing. I've certainly giber-sang plenty of times before out of sillyness or for a laugh. I often replace words in songs to make them silly, very often the word mayonnaise is involved.

Singing is too important to take seriously!
Thanks so much mark!! i did it and i quickly noticed the change!! it always happens to me that im singing say while i playing a videogame or doing some random stuff and i think "damn, im really nailing that song" but when i put a foot on stage or when i try to record myself something is not the same, i can now see what!! now i can reach that state of mind that lets me sing better
Love this one, I come back to it every so often...very helpful!

That is truly amazing!!! I have found myself when i didn't care how i will sing, or there was something more important, voice would come effortlessly!!Thanks for reminding me that.
You're awesome!
I just want to say thank you so much for this video. This is something I really needed today. I’m playing a show this coming Friday, and today, my muscles started reacting to my nerves. It’s so funny how you say gibberish can help. I’ve done this in the past on my own accord, and it really does help. I didn’t realize how much, though. Thank you so much again.
Love this! My favorite advice about singing so far. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

sir, you are a bloody genius !
Thank you so much for this Mark! I suffer from stuttering, and inhibition is the #1 thing that creates blockages and flow for me - whether singer or speaking. Awesome video and info. :)
Thank you for sharing with us so that we too can sing and perform freely......without inhibition. fedozim Nemsi bewozz, ochem. That's we love you, in gibberish.

When you speak gibberish i can’t help but think of that scene in the movie Billy Madison where Adam Sandler is yelling in gibberish at his father’s co worker at the dinner table hahaha great lesson thanks again!

i have one tip. STOP GIVING A FUCK TO WHAT PEOPLE THINK. JUST focus on feeling the song. Singing is about feeling the song and making others feel the same way.
