Hi Abhishek, Currently i am DevOps Engineer in one service based company, But the truth the market is very down, I cleared two rounds in Globant, Two rounds in Qualistestgroup,, Both the position are on hold now, HR are saying we will we will get back to you once position gets reopened, all my 4 rounds were 1 hr each, with minimum 20 Questions. Man Market is very bad now.

Sir I am really very confused right now. I don't know but why people who have been in the Industry for long time say that if you are in devops you should learn both software development+devops for a bigger picture. But when I tried doing this I got badly overwhelmed I was giving 4 hours to learning go daily in morning (planned to shift to software development)and 4 hours to devops in evening from your channel.But I started getting overwhelming for the morning part and eventually contacted one of my seniors from our college on topmate who is there in a good company as a devops evangelist in san francisco working remotely from India.He suggested me to master one thing at a time and to focus on devops and cloud. But people like guru sir and savinder puri sir(who have been in industry for 2 decades) advice that it's better to learn software development and then jump on to devops slowly. I am really confused what to do please advice sir. I am ready for doing hard work but please guide me.

Just focus on devops and cloud. Development is not needed for devops engineers. I don’t know about what others suggest but I have 10 years experience and I can say very strongly that you don’t need development experience for devops. You just need to understand the application workflow and operations. Ofcourse having the knowledge of development will help but it is not needed.

@@vinitpatil4981 , what you can do slowly step by step , you can start learning Python and over period of time get in learning Advance Python , you can get into the job profile where you will be heavily using Python in the project, say for example in Cloud computing there are a lot of opportunity where in you need good Python coding skills with AWS cloud + AWS Security services, once you start involving yourself writing code definately it will inspire you to learn few more programming skills, then you can go ahead in learning GO language. This is how i started working into Developement .

It might help you in shortlisting resumes but these days most companies are not looking for certifications.

Hey Abhishek most of the companies wants min 5 yrs of exp. That is the problem because if a person have 6 yrs of IT exp, in that if they have 2 yrs of devops exp, they are saying as 6 yrs of devops exp. So companies are preferring them. A person who started as devops engineer with 2 to 3 yrs are not getting calls.
