The US Dollar is King and do not leave home without it. I had a chance to visit this historical place way back in the 60s with my family as a boy before the civil war erupted. Most of them did not survive. There were not many hotels then so we had to stay at the Buddhist Temples around the area. It was so quiet and peaceful. Only memory lives on. Happy travels and enjoy enjoy your trip 🎉

@@Rathana1000 Glad you noticed about my comments. Cambodia had to go through so much pain and suffering 😭. Sharing is caring🎉
Nice one Chai. Beer drinkers' paradise with beers there $1.00 each and I did see some advertised at only 75 cents and food at around $2 to $3 . Incredible prices remind me of what we were paying 30 or 40 years ago here in Oz. Looking forward to your adventures there. Cheers champ 🤩

Haha thanks Steven! Man, it was so painful flying from Thailand to Australia getting a $11.50 pad Thai at a lunchroom in Perth about ten years ago 😝 $3.- meals in Oz must been a long while ago 😜 thanks again mate 🙏

@@Chai_Travel spot on mate. Pad Thai now is around $15 or $16 here in Ox. The wages can't keep up either with the cost of living. I'm not surprised so many expats retire in SE Asian Countries living the dream on 'the smell of an oily rag' (a well known saying originating out of Australia). One day I might just 'pull up stumps' and get over there (probably Thailand) myself. It has certainly crossed my mind a few times 🤩

@@Chai_Travel Oh well, maybe next time!
I guess if pub street is your thing, but honestly it's not very nice. There are some surrounding streets with boutique shopping, and the nice hotels and restaurants along the river near the big bridge are really nice. The latter is a better place to sit, eat and have a drink. Pub street was too touristy, loud, not my scene.

Thanks mate, I see what you’re saying. I liked it there but the city has definitely more charm than just Pub Street. Thanks for watching again 😁

Hi! I just came across your video since I’m researching and watching some vlogs on traveling to Phnom Penh to Siem Reap. This will be my first time traveling to Cambodia with my mom (my mom hasn’t been back in 42 years after escaping from the war). I just had 2 questions about your transportation travel to Siem Reap. Was there an option for the transportation to drop you off at the hotel? Or was there bus stop for general drop offs in Siem reap? Thank you!

Hi hi, with the company I went with they dropped me off at there office. There was a tuk tuk service waiting there. It only took 10 minutes to get to my hotel from there. Any other questions I’m happy to help ❤️ I hope you and your mom have a flawless journey
Hey Chai, I just watched your video and I must say that it was really informative and well-made. I loved your videos. I was wondering if I could help you edit your videos and also make highly engaging shorts for you?
