I like your style review. Very informative without the fluff. How would you say the video quality is compared to the R6? I want to start shooting more in 4K and have the EOS-R. The crop factor in 4K makes that camera very difficult to use as a studio camera. I'm looking for a camera to shoot videos in a studio (i.e. inside my house) and also outside (bike reviews).

Video quality is arguably very slightly sharper than the R6 in my experience, believe it or not. The oversampled sensor on the ZV-E10 looks outstanding, especially when combined with S-Log 2 or 3. With that said, you're obviously limited to 24 FPS - but if you're okay with that, I guarantee you'll be happy with this camera

Great review thank you! What sense would you recommended with this model, knowing that I am looking for the widest angle possible and some good zoom, as I am mainly shooting landscape and nature. Thanks for your help!

Pretty sure the 10-18mm kit lens that comes with the camera body is actually one of the widest options available with zoom functionality

This was so helpful! We spent a good 45 minutes on your channel last night. My husband and I have been researching the best camera for my vlogging and cooking plans and this solidified the decision to go with the ZV-E10. However! It's sold out everywhere and it seems Sony has halted production for the time being because of the chip shortage. I am so bummed but want to hold out. Do you have any intel? Know of anyone selling their used ZV-E10? Thank you!

I probably should've looked at that a bit more, but I didn't. Can confirm the quality of the 1080p footage is excellent as well

So I take it that you do not have the kind of issues with editing video files that you have noted occur with the Canon R6, and its IPB-only video recording?

Correct, the video files coming out of this camera don't use intraframe compression - so no issues whatsoever with editing. With that said, the bitrate is significantly lower (100 mbps maximum), but it works for my purposes.

@@kevinraposo 1) Thanks for that info! Nice to have this lower-cost alternative. Small point: I believe you mean this camera doesn't use INTER-frame compression (IPB). INTRA-frame compression is the good kind -- All-I -- right? 2) Max of 100 mbps max is, in other words, 8-bit?

It's horrible. Luckily, I have the camera on a tripod half the time - but still doesn't make it any better
