Best Value 22 Suppressor?! CGS Hydra Review
Ойын-сауық
The CGS Hydra balances performance and price in a way that I couldn't resist. For the first time I'm actually putting my money where my mouth is and buying one for myself!

Thanks for the video! The great thing about .22lr suppressors these days is there really aren't any bad ones on the market (at least from established companies like CGS).

I'm sold. Just ordered a Banish 45. Payed for two stamps and the banish 22 was free
Hey ore gear. Nice background location, range footage inserts, and better sound! Nicely Done and it shows you are working to improve. Good on You man👍
Great vid. Thank you for the info.
Excellent content! You got a thumbs up and an instant subscription.
Great information! Thank you!
Just ordered one today from Capital Armory. $513 out out the door including a thread adapter for my HK416 and Freedom Tax stamp. Unbeatable deal and it is considered one of the best aluminum cans made.
The shop makes a great set. I like it a lot. Good video.
I have this can. Super light and runs well on an M&P 22 Compact; very effective and very noticeable sound reduction on a hand gun. Also shot it on a Ruger 22 Charger and a Browning T Bolt. Stupid quiet on the T bolt.
It’s adorable ❤️
Rex Silentium SEG Rimfire would be cool to see. It's a bit longer than most rimfire cans, is modular, and has a wipe.
The guy next to you was having fun lol
Initially used can on Ruger American with Remington 22 subsonic ammunition sound was equivalent to those little white paper snaps you throw on the floor and they pop. Switched to federal 45 grain American eagle suppressor ammunition now I only hear the projectile hitting the wall
When you run a wet can add a dash of vanilla extract so when you shoot it smells like cookies.

Check out my Instagram/Facebook. I tried it out
I have a gemtech gm22 very light and quiet especially with sub sonic rounds I had one with a baffle stack but this one is monocore it seems alot cleaner than the baffles and very little first round Crack not crazy about the aluminum rather have stainless or titanium in a perfect world the the connection threads are titanium but it has held up quite well I clean it alot more often than the manufacturer recommends but it's mainly just unscrewing the top scraping the baffle back and fourth a few times tap the tube against the trash barrel and most of the crap in the tube falls out a little clp on and old tooth brush scrub it down whip it off put a little bit of grease with a titanium bass in it rub it on the threads and a little on the out side of the monocor screw it closed and it's like brand new the way it looks and performs
I see an Aluminum and Titanium version, is it a big jump in quality to get the Titanium version for $200 more? Worth it?
Thinking agout getting my first dedicated 22 suppressor. Have my eyes on a dead air mask hd or ea nyx mod 2. Do you have any hands on experience with both and which of thw two is quieter?
I have a Warlock II and I am thinking of getting a Sparrow because it is easier to clean.
I have a gemtech that started it's life as and outback and after8 years or so being a sealed can it started getting a little louder and I was afraid it might blow so I saw and add that for 200$ they would drill out the baffles thread the cap so it could be cleaned and change it into there new gm22 a mono core now I loosen the top right when I'm done before it cools and it's easy to clean and it's pretty quiet.
Im looking to get a Winchester Wildcat sr for Christmas but I can't find any suppressors for it. Do you have any suggestions?
Having purchased this would you still get this or the Hydra SS?
If someone is not looking for the best value but best performance would you recommend the Dead Air Mask 22, Q El Camino, or the Thunder-beast 22 takedown for a rimfire suppressor (non-aluminum versions)? Thanks for the video, very detailed!!!

I can answer from my experience with about 5 rimfire can, and i would reccomend the dead air mask and the thunderbeast takedown, as they both have great sound reduction, perhaps with the mask having better 'first round pop' reduction.
Backordered mine and got serial assigned today! We will see how eforms does 🤞

I got mine after 182 day wait! It's very lightweight and with subsonic ammo it makes the action of my Keltec P-17 louder than the gunshot. I'm really happy with it.@@sboy1955

With it not being full auto rated. Is this a concern?

I know thar the aluminum rimfire cans are light and cheap but I would take the weight and extra money but your looking at a though away and something you can leave your kids.
What are the Licensing fees to own that suppressor

Have you heard of Google
question, why did you wait almost 9 minutes to mention the price ? also would of been nice if you disassembled it for us to see the inner workings of the product.
I THINK YOOU MEANT "NO BANG FOR YOUR BUCK".
Look at that bare wall!
Where’s that range at
I like 17-4 baffled 22 cans that way I can just toss them in my wet tumbler. Tough to beat a DeadAir mask or rugged oculus.
For $250 I can buy a nice budget .22LR rifle and have change for a silencer and ammo. I made a few silencers for a .22LR myself for less than $5 each and it is working good. Now that is what I call affordable. Not $250.

@@OreGear Ha-ha. I am not in the USA with its up-side-down gun laws. Here we don't need ANY paperwork or permition or whatever to buy / make / install / use a silencer on what-so-ever firearm we own and use. It is 100% lawful. For months I posted something similar on many video's comments with the purpose to see if there is any reaction from anybody and you are the very first person to react on that. Congratulations, you win the first price.

@@OreGear Making and watching youtube video is an odd way of spending your time. What is the difference? How much time do you spend on making videos compared to my few seconds giving a comment? I am watching the videos anyway and there are millions of comments all over youtube without any purpose. Why would me giving a comment make it any different? Anyway, I have lots and lots of things I do that I like apart from running my own business. Shooting - target and hunting, bike riding, on road and off, flying - RC models and full-size, fishing - fresh water and beach and deep sea, photography and a few other I put aside because of a lack of time and lost interest in the others like 4x4 driving, birding etc. So I think I did a lot of things in my life I find fulfilling.

The funny thing about price is it changes. If I told you a price in this video from FOUR YEARS AGO and you looked it up now only to see a higher price, you’d be leaving a comment talking about how vastly different the price is after 4 years of inflation.
