Roguelikes are love/hate for me, so seeing the endless replayability fest is despair incarnate for me.

Yea i wish other kinds of replayability also got highlighted like time attack and score attack games they couldnt even put pacman on sale

You're posting a bunch of videos theses days! So I say thank you, cuz it's really good to know the indie games that are about to release.

I can't wait to play Menace. The lack of news make me nervous :( I was used to Battle Brothers development where every week we had a newsletter explaining cool stuff. On the other hand, that means more suprises to unfold when playing. Thanks Clemmy :D

having played the stand-alone demo a way back. it has really good ambiance. good music and a surprisingly stark tone. it played very well.

Norland - Colony Sim, perhaps my favourite genre, looks like the similar presentation to Prison sim or Rimworld. It depends how deep the systems are and how emergent their interactions are. Could be a classic. Menace - iirc has some real potential in the TBS space ala xcom-like... could become another classic too again if it captures the endless variety and replayability and depth of this genre with fine-tuned decision-making going down to the wire each game session. Ridiculous how many good games are showcased here. Picked my favs only.

Streets of Rogue 2 is easily my most anticipated game ever. GTA has potential to be mid.

It's hard to describe how exceptionally good Streets of Rogue is. To the point where seeing the sequel at number 3 seems incongruous. Pure character-filled, stylish, action-packed, deeply intriguing, atmospheric game-play in a perfectly bound package with a beginning, a middle and an end. A beginning where you are clearly, warmly invited to play. A middle where you are like "this is fun but what is going on; am I sure I am headed in the right direction?" And an end where it is like "ohhhhh, this is where I am headed. Awesome!"

well I don't like cozy or survival games and skip them on timestamps. but I don't hate them. If there will be a roguelike hate I will hate those cozy games then. hatred only brings more.

misleading title. should have been "Best Upcoming rogue Games from the Endless Replayability Fest 2024" had you done that .. i would have saved myself the time..
