I have both 4k and WQHD LG monitors for my macbook setup. The widescreen resolution looks quite terrible compared to the sharpness of the 4k 16:9 screen. Once you see the difference, its hard to go back to the weird pixelated text of a widescreen.

@@TerezaTichackova working on a m1 max and then looking at bad quality screen is a jarring experience. Maybe one day macos will resolve this issue. Really don't want to buy a studio display as that thing is way overpriced

4k/120hz gaming tho. HARD to run. For me and what ive seen i would rather go 1440p or 1080p with those refresh rates. 4k is hard to run by its self at times then you throw 144/165hz on it. 4090 for sure and that wont 100% cover you

i got a lg c2 in 42inch with evo panel 120hz, run it with a 7900xtx and im pretty happy with performance and sharp image but its simply too big for my desk ... i will try to sell it and get a monitor again.. then it starts again 1440p vs 4k ultrawide or not (coming from a 34 uw agon display) what do you run?@@supermeseriasu

​@@TerezaTichackova hi, i just Recived the monitor, It looks great on the desk, the sense of immersion it's very awsome. I had to adjust some settings on the display i Overclock to 160hz and I had to calibrate the colors a bit more. I still miss a bit of the resolution from my old 27 inch 4k monitor, but the refresh rate it's a must. I feel happy with the monitor, did not found no ghosting on the images, i'm more of a gamer so I do recomend this monitor. ☺

After watching this video, I am shocked to see your subscriber count. The information you provided in this video is by far the best I have seen on KZread. You should make more take videos. Best of luck for the future. One question, do your mind say every time that need of and extra height for 34 inch like 38 inch would be perfect ?

@@saurabhmuneshwar unless I get sent 38" for free, I have no plans on upgrading the 34" anytime soon :) it's an amazing monitor and the size is already king-size! 😁

You should have bought the Type-C version (34WN80C, 34WN750) to charge and transfer video with single cable if you value productivity over gaming. It also gives you additional USB-ports to connect keyboard/mouse to your monitor.

I didn't know about the Closed Clamshell Mode in 2015 🤯 Thank you, been deciding between 27, 32, and 34. For speakers, I'm still using Anker Soundcore Mini from 2 years ago. I didn't buy it in pairs since one is enough and loud already. You may checkout latest Soundcore mini if you want a cute but loud speaker. 😆

you can only use your macbook in clam shell mode if your monitor powers via type c, if not you can plug in your macbook charger which will provde power for you to use in clam shell

Great video, thanks for posting it. I did have a question about your research. Did you by chance do any comparisons to the 34GP950G-B or the LG 38GN95B-B? The price point on those seems to be much higher than the 850 or 83A, but I was curious if you thought the price jump would be worth it.

hey and thanks for the kind comment! ☺ So from what I read, the 950G-B is just supposed to be a little bit upgraded version of the 850/83A. But the upgrades of 950G-B are pretty small... - brightness (jump to 600 cd/m² from 350 cd/m²) - better HDR (DisplayHDR 600) - slightly higher refresh rate (180Hz vs 160Hz) - native G-SYNC monitor (vs FreeSync) Not worth the price jump imho! Unless money isn't an issue and/or those specific parameters are suuuper important for you 🙂

the Redragon GS510 Waltz are a good inexpensive option for speakers and they have rgb I have them myself and when I got a gaming monitor I also wonder why they dont have built in speakers, turns out they cheap out since they assume gamers all use headsets, saves them money over a large production

Glad you liked it! ^^ I did watch a couple of movies on it - the viewing angles are great and no black stripes on top & bottom, but sometimes you do get black stripes on the sides. I don’t find it annoying at all however! Not a big deal at all. Hope this helps!

I use klipsch pro media 2.1. Best speakers I have owned. Not sure about your country. But I did some digging and found them for $99 usd on sale.

Thanks for the review. The whole chapter of 32" vs 34"...I have the SAME tabs from Visual TV Size and this dude with the funky wallpapers on my Paint, I print screened both side by side as well, So...Good job there! :) And I still cannot decide. I will tell you why: the curved variation (38gn950) in my country is either about $2800-$2500 or only VA panels. Ordering the same screen here from Amazon seems risky counting on how I receive other, non monitors, orders from them. I program at work on two 24" screens, one is facing me directly and other one is curved to me from my right, and buying a flat 34" (like the Gigabyte M34WQ) which is a good screen and price one, seems to me crazy to look all the time from right to left like I'm sitting at Wimbledon...I think I will just go for a 32" 16:9. Oh yeah, there's also nowhere here to see screens on display so I can decide visually. I think whatever I will buy will be good, but I would just keep thinking, what if I have bought the other one instead... Ah well, thank you for listening to my too-many-weeks long of getting into a new monitor buying spree, and still being confused as hell... :D On a personal note this was a very good and funny review and I enjoyed it maybe too much lol. You made a good choice with the best all around screen and I should know because this is what I planned going for, if I could buy it here. Enjoy it! :)

At the 9:27 mark u say fhat this one u got is the same as the 34gp83a... Its no way the same. The latter is much more expensive, much higher resolution, sharper image, mich higher brightness etc. U should at least say that instead of incorrectly saying they are basically the same.

You answer to all my question that I had in my mind. Just one more question remaining: how far would you suggest to put the monitor? I mean, now I am using an 27'' monitor, compared to an 34'' curverd monitor it is much smaller, so I am wondering if that monitor will be suitable with the same desk dimension. Thank you.

Glad to help Nicolò! ☺️ hmm, good question. I think it’s mostly a matter of personal preference. I think for the most part you should be fine with the same desk size, but you can always install a movable monitor arm and then you can move it around freely as desired. I have one from the brand Fully and I absolutely love it. Hope this helps!

''Never had any problems with LG'' Yeah just wait until you need to get your screen fixed or send it back for replacement because that'll take them at least 2 months before they get to fixing the screen. Theyre fairly quick to respond but their quality control sucks. Also the difference between the two aren't just another cable kit, the GP has G-Sync, the other doesnt. But to be honest if you're going for a screen with Gsync youre basically fanboying at this point since Freesync2 does the exact same job for 300 euro less. And Gsync always has a lower refresh rate compared to freesync.
