Since you said you won't make a wyvern +13 Maybe an idea for the next video what kind of gear is worth making +13? Will be useful coz we have very limited resources for this

So the grumman TBD/TBF avenger is weird because the first airstrike is pretty bad (basically Barracudas with one less torpedo) but after that the following ones are quite strong (19% stronger than Barracudas) with 3 torpedoes. It's best for preload carriers (Unicorn, Perseus, Aquila) who can get that first TBD strike out fast and run the TBFs for the rest of the battle.

The French torpedo bomber intercepts like a fighter as well

I like to use them on my healers because they're fast and yeah the passive air intercept, with the not top tier damage helping keep them from getting MVP so much. Also I farmed the hell out of the event so I have 4 of them...

I slapped them on CVs for world 12 farming, just extra anti air so even ships with fighters can do it easily

I have 2 +13 Wyverns. They serve me well

Id very much like to see a short one for torpedoes

Great video but you forgot to mention that french Br.810's also launch to intercept enemy planes like fighters and the Wyvern.

Didn't realize this category of planes was so split in function.

+13's my Wyverns... I'm happy clearing strongholds on auto with unicorn/percy and Musashi. Did wish I saved some plates for my rocket fighters :(

Saiuns are good when you have AvP Haku and Shin all at max affinity. With all 3 having tenrais Shin would be too slow to lauch before AvP without a Saiun if she runs double catapult

Will you be doing a guide on purple gear that is worth keeping? I have so much and I have no idea if half of it is worth keeping and using or not.. haha

Amazing rundown of all the really important stuff one needs to know at the moment, very nice, thank you very much for investing that time! But am I just blind or does it state anywherw in-game that Wyverns intercept? And does that mean they fly out periodically or just that they shoot stuff down during their airstrike run? I thought other torpedo bombers also did this, simply because they have guns with stats equipped according to their gear cards. I find this really confusing D:

TLDR: Berget and Wyvern are the only torp bombers that can intercept and it's only said on the Wiki. All planes have guns, yes, but don't worry about it. For the intercept part, it depends on how many torp planes (if they can use them) CVs deploy on airstrikes.

All planes will shoot other planes when launched via an airstrike, but yes Wyverns and Breguet will also fly out periodically from your CV (like fighters do)to shoot down enemy planes. These ones that launch periodically don't drop any torpedos though, just fire their AA guns.

I think it's just hilarious that anti-air is so occult a subject that even the big cheese himself won't touch it with a ten foot pole. Thanks for the series. I hardly mess around with my gear anymore, so I enjoyed the information and motivation to play with my loadouts again.

AA setup: Pick your frontliner with the best AA stat and efficiency, give her a +13 sextuple bofors. CVLs get proto twin 90mm or quad bofors, everyone else gets STAAG or Dido AA depending on whether they want +hit or +FP on their stat stick. There's no content right now that demands minmax AA beyond that.

I hit lvl 100 recently and still just use whatever's gold lol. Just make sure my BB's have the STAAG for that 10 hit
