I'm 41 years old, married with many kids. However, I make the time to watch your content on a regular basis... You've helped this old gamer improve a great deal. Much respect Jack - from a fellow Brit.

@@DSmicklaswhat level are your mechanics? I'm late 20s and don't seem to have the patience to learn them
Great video Jack. Most people that create this style of video ramble on for way too long or either lean into gimmicks or click bait or don't have solid ideas to contribute. These all felt short concise thoughtful and poignant. Reinforcing the basics and giving ppl a general direction when it comes to improving.

yeah most people do make those kinda things, but pros like app jack are the ones who should be making these if people want the best kind
I would absolutely love to see how you got pro... like a video "that's my story".

dude was absolutely fucking insanely nuts cracked at 1s i think he actually perpetuated the wavedash kickoff back then. his series VS joreuz was the OG rw9 vs zen, with their playstyles dude is just insane at the game
I am a 32 year old dad. I’ve played competitive sports most of my life between golf and hockey. I miss the competitive play. This game fills my competitive itch. And I feel like I’m playing a competitive sport. It makes me want to practice and play better every time I get on. I will never try to go pro obviously as this is a young man’s game. But I want to be good enough to atleast play gc3 level at some point. Since it came out free I’ve put almost 2k hours in. And am so close to pushing gc1. I’ve been riding c2 c3 for a few seasons now. Now I’m in the fine tuning stages of what I know and how I play. I love this game and for whatever reason everyday I just want to get on and grind and get better. Love watching all the pro play. Gl next season jack! Hopefully FK fits your team well.

Did u get gc mate?
You’ve taught me an insane amount about this game just from watching your tendencies and decision-making, so this is definitely some more good info 👍
I really liked when you talked about having that one aspect of your playstyle that is just REALLY spot on that puts you above the rest of your lobby. Perfecting one thing is better than knowing a few things halfway.
no one is talking about the first 90 seconds where he enters flow state in freeplay
this is exactly the kind of video i’ve been wanting to see from you, absolutely loved it, keep it up!!
Love it Jack. I hope you realize how much people respect and value your thoughts/opinions. I’d love to see more of these videos on any topic that you feel you’ve got some valuable insight into. Also remember how much of a role model you are for so many since everyone points to you for your thoughts. Encouraging healthy habits like drinking water and going to the gym and getting good sleep would be impactful. I love seeing that kind of stuff from creators, squishy and arsenal have done that a bit
man you know that this is a professional when someone is holding a 20 min presentation while casually doing the sickest goals I could only dream of
I keep coming back to this one… the wisdom you shared here contains multitudes-much of it pertains to all disciplines and arts or athletic endeavors. Great stuff, Jack!
Great video. Honestly loved your last tip about having that insane passion for the game. I haven't heard many RL youtubers or pros talk about how much they love the game, or at least not in the way you talked about it. I definitely relate to that though. Utterly love this game.
5:05 as bruce lee said “i am not scared of the person who knows 10,000 kicks. But i am afraid of the person who knows one kick but has practices it for 10,000 times” in rocket league terms, be the person who is insanely good at 1 thing to the point you know what to do and how to do it in every situation because you will be a lot more unstoppable than if you know everything but have nothing as refined as that person that knows that one thing
Great video jack, honestly a great and helpful vid. I've done nothing but grind this game the last year and a bit while in college on the side, and im around c2 almost c3. My passion for this game is beyond anything else i have ever done, i would like nothing more than to go pro and be apart of the community fully, or just at least hit SSL. watching these vids and many RL streamers has been some thing that some how relaxes me, but also pushes me to get better at this game, and i truly believe i have the passion to become pro. at least some day. (:
Love the video jack! I’m a 40 yr old diamond and I always love hearing your tips. I’d love to see a video with mechanical tips that are high return. Like air roll power shots, flipping onto walls, recovery tips, in and out saves. It’s usually expected ppl know how to do these things, but I’ve yet to learn a lot of secrets.
Definitely helped me just started playing. Love the game. Great content. The slow motion advice was the info I took on board for the air dribble practice. Ty.
Maybe the best video I watched from you! Holyyy so much value🔥
Jack you are a legend, loved every second of the video! :)
Love hearing a video like this from you
This was a fantastic video, thank you so much. I'm a big fan of educational videos like these, and I would really like to see a video specifically tailored on the subject of going from bubble to pro, but I understand if the target audience for that video is just a bit too small. Thank you regardless!
@mk8miimaker872

I'll second that. I don't believe the audience is too small for that kind of video - everyone who listens carefully to it will learn something whether they're actually at the rank you're targeting or not.
Very insightful! Loved this video
Great video! I love these types of videos to relax in free play and listen to!
i love these styles of videos thanks jack
Bruh, love you for this appJ, this is the best tips vid i’ve seen for RL, really wish I had the cash to go through coaching with you luke and the homies.
Jack you actually inspired me to get better at the game. I remember watching you over two years ago and I was hard stuck D2 at the time and now I’m constantly getting C2. Just wanted to thank you
This video realy showcases your sportsmanship, your dedication and everything else there is to appreciate about you as a player. Thank you for inspiring and educating :)
Love these tips. Thanks AppJack :)
great video! watched it until the end :) awesome tips man thank you!
It's actually interesting how most of these tips can also be applied to other subjects. You and I actually do a lot of the same (even #7) but I'm more focused in training my science vs my rocket league. Very nice tips man.
This is a phenomenal video. Ive taught all my friends to use slowmo in order to allow your brain to figure out the mwchanics step by step. I absolutely love that you explained that in this.
Thank you so much for this video. This is just what I needed to hear.
Well done. Thanks for passing along the knowledge
THANK YOU, great video I wish there were more people like u who gives advice to the higher ish players too like gc2-low ssl
I love this format
Exactly what I needed. Thank you!
This video reinforced a lot of how I view the game, and gave me confidence that I am playing how I need to in order to improve, I’ve been absolutely obsessed with this game for 3 years now (2k hours) and am comfortably hitting gc, it’s just such a good feeling to succeed in this game and I haven’t felt that same feeling in any other game or real world sport, I played baseball and basketball in high school and rocket league is what I looked forward to, I enjoyed sports but I love rocket league and I hope I never stop
I really needed to hear that remark about forming your own identity at 3:00! thanks for the tips jack.
Very good video, Jack! And very well explained - I have a question though. I wonder if you can be too long in freeplay/training-packs, cause sometimes I can sit there for hours. Then when I start playing games, I just can't really focus. And I sense lack of gamesense. So I wonder if you feel that sometimes too, or if you have any idea. And good luck with your new roster. I'm exited, and I'll support you no matter what!
Wholesome and informative video. I salute you👍
this video was exactly what I needed to hear! this game has always seemed special to me and this helped remind me of my true passion for it. thank you Jack. Ill be rooting for you FK and Chronic in next season 😄
Awesome video man, thanks for all u do ❤
Amazing content Jack !! Thank you so much 😁
Really great video, was waiting for a video like this for some time and im happy that you did it because i mostly watch your videos.
Hi Jack! Love these tips, thanks!
This awesome, thank you for this!!!
Been stuck at Gc1 and Gc2 for over a year. I appreciate the tips cause i need something to change in my routine so i can climb again. Your insight is very helpful.
Great video! Im gonna follow your advices and focus more on training, im hard stuck on gold 3/plat 1 for months, i want to reach at least d1 but i feel sometimes that simply i cant but im working on it...
great advices and seems like a great person
Hey Jack, this video actually made me understand my kcikoff more, it helped me see my flaws and has given me a way to improve, keep up the good content and smash it next season
New and useful information while also having a satisfying video to keep my attention play in the background (you messing about in freeplay).
Thank you so much Jack, I've been playing Rocket League foe the last two years and have been working and am still working to go pro ever since, at one point after hitting GC I hit a wall and felt very discouraged. I found you on KZread and helped me get past that wall. Every day I work hard towards achieving that goal of going pro one day. Thank you so much for everything you do for all of us!

if u hit wall in gc and u 12+ y old forget about pro
great video u touch on very important ideas for keeping enjoyment while improving, because that part can be frustrating due to failing over and over again
I appreciate this sort of content so much. I love the way you approach topics and give constructive feedback, especially in the other channel. Thanks for encouraging me to keep my nose to the old grindstone
Almost 30 w/ full time job and school here. Play time is limited, but I can absolutely vouch for the warm up and slo mo tips. My warm up routine solidified a few months ago with freeplay at 85-90% for 15 ish minutes before I play a single game. Before the hard reset I was scraping C1, never hit it but always right there. After the hard reset I'm like 1 div below where I was. At first I was discouraged because I didn't see my rank reflecting my improvement. Then I played some cas with a guy that was C2-C3 and I was keeping up with no problem. Before my routine I would have been left in the dust, and then it hit me how valuable those were to improving. Long reply but TL;DR slow mo and warming up are HUGE tips! Thanks for posting Jack!
im so happy , make more vids like this!
this video was so refreshing. So different from the usual HOW TO RANK UP IN ROCKET LEAGUE IN (insert short amount of time to do the task)!. Loved it.
Thank you for your tips. I always watch your videos and i am really a big fan of your playstyle and your content. This video in my opinion helps to get a clue whats important to learn so i appreciate it. I also try to kinda copy some stuff you are doing in my playstyle and some of them helped a lot. but honestly my biggest problem at this momemt is to not know how to go on from here.. yeah practice sure is one point but i think i need like a mentor who can active tell me what to do and show me my mistakes.. perhaps learn some mechanics because i struggle a bit for example kickoffs like wavedash or speed or fastkickoff however they are called.. i kinda understand the how to but im somehow in many situations not able to use it.. well enogh writen.. thanks again bro
Great mindset tips here. Nice to have videos like this once in a while, especially since you could easily decide to gatekeep stuff like this for your paying students lol. Much luhh
Thank you for keeping it real, AppJack. You're the goat for helping us out with videos like this and for your amazing content. You're my favorite player ❤
You're living the life Jack, excellent display of skills while explaining, in great detail how you developed them. Brilliant teacher, thanks for sharing.
Awesome video, would love to see more instructional content in the future :)
great video man
I’ve been meaning to subscribe for a while This is the first video I’ve been recommended I guess it must’ve helped a lot of people since the algorithm fed it to me 🙂
That is crazy that you got high champ even GC after a few months of playing. I genuinely think you're one of the fastest improving players in the game which lead to your Major win.
Awesome video bro! 👍
GC in 3 months is crazy. Funny that my first intro to Jack was one of scrubkillas first 1s videos and he goes “ohh apparently Jack, thus guy jus spams flecks!”

Haha ok that's funny. Would love to see this vid, should be years old, right? Yeah 3 months... thought the same, and if i got it correctly it was even in 1s😮
Most realistic video I’ve seen on improvements in rl ever thanks allot
hadn't played 1's properly since season 1, I did my placement matches this season and immediately noticed so many flaws in my gameplay. That tip is VERY useful.
really like the variety content recently. Keep it up!
I love how accurate the tip 'do what sticks out to you' is, I'd always watch first killers double taps in shock and disbelief, practiced the hell out of them, and now I get smurf accusations in ranked from the angles I hit in c1 😭. I love it though, double taps have always been satisfying to me, I may have horrible game sense and a wobbly speed kickoff, but I'm gonna hit my doubles 🙏🏾
Awesome video. Same collabs with other pros would be cool to see as well
I absolutely love this content. You have one of the best opinions in RL and I love hearing your thoughts
thanks for the tips 👍
I cannot express how much I appreciate this type of content from you
the preflip catch at 12:49! was sooo smooth
7:41 is way too satisfying wth
Great video man. More videos like this would be awesome
12:23 I can actually understand that. I'm not too good at the game (Champ 1) but I remember when if first got the game I was stuck around silver/gold and I was not consistent at all. Watching pro play I remember redirects being something that really stood out to me. I would then practice it relentlessly. It took a few months to get consistent with, but I was spending maybe 1-2 hours just in custom training packs doing redirects. And it wasn't the redirects that got me better, but it was the better ball control, car control, aerial control, and power that I gained from trying to learn redirects that really launched my rank up. I started in 2020, and by the end of 2021 to early 2022, I was D2
Love it jack , great video as always . Excited for the new team look
I’m a fan of your videos! I was actually really hoping you would dive into more analysis of pro games and talk about your perspective on the game more often, if anything!
The point about practicing what reaches out to you is a really important thing to mention and something I think some guides may fail to state. The reality is this is a video game. For all but the very very top, this is not a sustainable career path, this is something we do for fun. If you are going to carve out time to improve at something with so little life impact as a video game talent, then please, just focus on what you enjoy, don't force yourself to practice things you don't like and burn yourself out on the game you're investing so many hours practicing.
I’m so excited to play rocket league later cuz of this lol. I almost never play 1s, but I’m itching to try it now. I was champ 1 last season in 3s and have been stuck in diamond 3 for a while this season, and it’s a bit disappointing. I wanna get there again, so I’ll keep striving to improve. I love this game so much haha. Thanks for this video and I look forward to watching so much more from you
Love this style of vid. You have one of the best minds/personalities in the game so any informative content from you I will absolute consume
If you don’t love it you will get burnt out doing it too often. This applies to all things in life
I loved this style of content and would definitely want to see more. I'd love to see maybe some videos on getting better mechanics, as well as being able to play at a consistent level rather than some good moments and some bad moments.
Great tips. I’ve already made it as far as I care to get in this game, but knowing this beforehand would’ve helped a lot.
I appreciate this kind of video format from you because your teaching style sits well with me.
YES LOVE WHEN JACK IS JUST JACK
Fantastic video! More like this would be welcome, and you should absolutely not apologize for repeating things. No matter how annoyed some people may get, hearing important points multiple times in different contexts is a great way to improve retention and understanding of those ideas.
Great video Jack, this helps very much! Would you recommend warming up with slowmo or warm up regularly and practice the things you want to with slowmo?
Amazing video
I'm super excited to apply this to my games. I'll let you know if I get to gc from c3, Cheers.
That slowmo thing worked wonders to me. Been doing it for a few months. I can feel that i've been playing faster and my mechanics are getting a lot better quickly
Love this idea and this kind of content. Please do more and please upload on your analysis channel
Definitely helping 👍
This was super helpful Jack thank you for this. I’m going to apply all of these to my game and hopefully finally hit SSL.
as a former rlcs coach, i can tell you that the 7th tip it's the best one if u are willing to go pro
Captain England with the quality video on how to land on Gen.G with Chronic & Firstkilller as teammates. You don't become an NA superteam if you don't hold up your end of the bargain. Looking forward to how the team performs come the start of the new season!
Excellent video! Very much appreciated and its super refreshing to hear someone say they actually love the game. It seems like its "cool" to hate the game now and I've never understood it! Thanks again Jack!
