    Most herbs are best stored wrapped in slightly dampened paper (I used to use paper towels but now use brown paper bags), within a plastic bag and in the refrigerator. Sometimes it can be beneficial to suck all the air out of the bag or else blow into the bag almost like a balloon.

    Overall, big money savings on quality produce. Those romaine hearts are valuable on a raw vegan diet. Wow, those peppers... soup, salad, juice, or my fave... eat 'em like an apple. Vegan Footsoldier oh my goodness, do not drink hydrogen peroxide! I grew up with ear issues, and my mom would put it in my ears. I no longer do that. if you do though, dilute it with water. I prefer to flush my ears regularly with as warm water as I can stand with one of those blue sqeeze bulbs. If I feel my lymph around them getting enflamed I rub a citrus based, lime is my favorite, essential oil over the lymph just in front of the ear, and even all around it. Clears it up nicely for me. also nix the sugar and dairy, or slam some and see. I think I have a systemic candida fungal infection in my ears, so I am going to start using fractionated coconut oil with frankincense as ear drops, or at least smear it around the outer rim. ive just lived with it so long Im sort of used to it, so I keep forgetting to be consistent. But Im also interested in using papaya seeds to clear parasites. and on my way to fully plant based.

  • @thehealthadventurer6919

    @thehealthadventurer6919

    Elaine Jackson Yes. Organic food producers can use some amounts of natural pesticides, but you would have to research more on that. Sometimes there are organizations that have even higher standards than the USDA Organic seal, such as CCOF. Growing your own is always best, but do what you can! Also check out some videos on the clean 15 and dirty dozen to know when you are still somewhat safe buying conventional if that works better for your budget.

    I am beginning to see why you lack the youthful glow of most raw vegans. Not only do you eat too much sugar/fructose but you eat moldy foods. You shouldn't eat moldy food. Mold's are often toxic and very mutagenic/carcinogenic. Just avoiding the visible mold doesn't spare you the harm molds can cause because the visible portion is merely the portion which produces spores. The mold will extend throughout the food via microscopic tendrils or "roots" called "mycelia". Once it is moldy it is best to throw it out.

    A little sugar is ok. I try to keep it at less than 50g/day. Complex carbs are better than simple carbs and sugars. It's all about glycemic index. Fruits are high in sugar but that sugar is offset by the fiber which helps keep blood sugar steady. It helps to consume a high level of protein with high sugar foods. Keep in mind that fruits have been bred to be sweeter than they were originally. This has made them unhealthy and is a cause of many diseases such as diabetes. Eat the natural less sweet varieties rather than the sweeter strains bred by humankind if you can.

    Not to be harsh but one commenter even asked why John looks like an alcoholic. It's probably because all the sugar and carbs which John consumes actually ferments into alcohol in the gut. That will happen if you consume too much carbs. Not only that but fructose will damage your liver like alcohol does. Its important to get the balance of carbs, fats, and proteins right. It helps to keep sweet fruits to a minimum and eat more non-sweet fruits such as cucumbers and squash.
