I used salazzle with focus sash, used toxic on him, then used an x sp def on my primarina and kept spamming potions. It was the best strategy i managed to come up with, because that beast was lvl 60 and my poor team was around 48 with a 50 primarina.

I beat Necrozma with my team on my second try and only used a bunch of hyper potions and some revives

Hawlucha was my carry pokemon for most of my playthrough, he was a higher level than my starter

Here is a smart way to beat ultra Necrozma: Have a Zoroark as your first Pokemon in the party, make it disguise as an fighting type Pokémon and the Ultra Necrozma will use a psychic type move but it won’t effect the zoroark, then use dark type moves. There you go. If your struggling with ultra Necrozma, use that method

Primarina, choose poppolio as starter, (Sparkling Aria, Moonblast, Shadow ball, Psychic/Energy Ball) Vikavolt, find as Grubbin at route 1, (Thunderbolt, Signal Beam, Energy Ball, Flash Cannon) Snorlax, find as Munchlax at route 1, bust the rocks with Tauros, (Giga Impact, Return, Wild Charge, Heavy Slam) Alolan Muk, find as Alolan Grimer at Trainers School, (Gunk Shot, Crunch, Toxic/Ice Punch, Brick Break) Hawlucha, find at route 2 Pokemon Center, where you trade a spearow for it, (Flying Press, Acrobatics, Brick Break, X-Scissor) Mudsdale, find at route 4, (High Horsepower/Earthquake, Heavy Slam, Rock Slide, Toxic)

Just to make a small correction, you actually can't get Munchlax until after you beat Hala, because the area in Route 1 to get it is blocked off by rocks and you need Tauros Charge to get it.

However, after that event concluded, this was no longer possible (without exploits) after a certain period of time. I don't remember how long the original giveaway period was, but as someone that had the game from day 1, I also had a Munchlax extremely early on. In fact, I had grinded to have it evolve before I left the starting island.

RAYMND www.serebii.net/pokearth/alola/route1.shtml#usumpoké ??? You speak as if Munchlax is not part of Alola's regional dex (or Island scan) for it to be obtained that way. It was even already available in the wild in Sun and Moon, and is still present in Ultra Sun and Moon. Did you even play either of these games?

Slight correction to 7:16 (if you're following this as a guide): Munchlax is NOT the second Pokémon available as it's only available AFTER getting Tauros Charge, in the small section of Route 1 blocked by large rocks. Just continue past it and circle back after getting other Pokémon. Similarly, the Spearow necessary to trade for Hawlucha can only be caught in specific patches of Route 2 between the berry farm and the Pokémon Centre. Those are the only Pokémon with this limitation however, so don't worry about the rest, just keep grinding encounters and eventually you'll find them.

Actually, you get munchlax as a 5th member as you can only get it after you receive Rideable Tauros (munchlax appears below the breakable boulders at route 1).

JMMP 11, you got a really solid team, however, you've got 3-4 mon's weak to Rock, Salazzle, Vikavolt, Honchkrow and Hawlucha (If I'm not mistaken), it's a really solid team, just need to watch out for Physical rock types.

Kaleb Sok- Not a good idea as Toxic-Venoshock is the best combo (for any poison type with high special attack) as Venoshock does more damage if the target is poisoned.

Thanks to its ability Corrosion, Salazzle can poison almost any pokemon including Poison and Steel Types except those with Immunity.

Gene Zau- I know that I used one on Moon. That's the reason I said that the Toxic-Venoshock combo was the best for Salazzle and for other poison types with high special attack as its will be great against Fairy and Grass but other types too except for Poison and Steel unlesss its Salazzle.

Love the videos and I use them constantly to help my stream project. Makes my life a lot easier! If I may give a constructive criticism, a word or 2 about which nature to look for would be great. It can make a huge difference in the gameplay. (I noticed significant improvement in the mid to late game game since I started resetting for a good nature on my starter for example)

Good video. I know it was posted quite some time ago, but you guys made a small mistake. The TM for Acrobatics is available on the first island in Sun/Moon only. In Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon, it's available on Route 15, in front of the Surf Association Building, and to get it you need to have Sharpedo or Lapras surf

for the mudsdale instead of rockslide, if you can get it early in the game, is smack down, since it knocks flying types out of the sky and makes them vunerable to ground

I think aerial ace runs really good with hawlucha it helps me when almost my half team probably fainted from a previous battle so yeah.Hawlucha with aerial ace actually helped me sweep through all the trials!

I was so close to say you can get him before but then he changed good job mystic

Quick note for those of you looking to play the alola games with mudsdale. This thing doesn't require a whole lot of experience to evolve, meaning it'll evolve very quickly. Second try and focus on catching a mudbray with the stamina ability. This ability will raise mudsdale's defense stat one stage every time it's hit by an attack, either special or physical. Defense and attack are doing to be mudsdale's main stats so you can imagine how absolutely insane the stamina ability is for this thing. Personally Mudsdale was one of my favorite pokemon introduced in alola and up their in my favorites of all time list, so I'm really glad they decided to include this insanely awesome ground type. If you decide to catch one for yourself, for sun, moon, ultra sun, or ultra moon, all I can say is have fun winning.

I got a 3DS for Christmas this year and I got both ultra sun and ultra moon so this really helped

Gunk shot won’t be good against Raichu (so many people think it’s electric/fairy it’s electric/psychic)

I kind of really like that they included Hawlucha as a crutch trade.

Love the chioces for this one. Primarina and vikavolt are some of my favorites and I think mudsdale is extremely underestimated.

Dude this team is really good and it works well I mean well!

Trevanant served me surprisingly well in my Ultra Moon playthrough. Poor Raichu didn't stand a chance. :P Willing to give this team a try though I've used Mudsdale before and can confirm it is amazing especially with the Stamina ability.

I used Kommo-o, Decidueye, Alolan Ninetales, Vikavolt, Lycanroc Midday and Salazzle.Had no trouble with anything,

My team is( i still didnt finish the game) Primarina, Hawlucha,Growlithe(idk where a fire stone is),Lycanrock Midnight,Snorlax And Dialga(ill never tell how i got a dialga

Where was this video two or three weeks ago when I brute forced through everything with my team I largely picked up on the first island Big gold boi made me suffer you know, I literally only managed to beat him thanks to the power of friendship

I barely ever 100% agree with the teams but you point me in a right direction

Yay I got hawlucha a while ago. It's been very strong Sadly I don't wanna reuse Pokémon so I'm not using vikavolt I already got alolan grimer though

Dude thx so much!!! I was struggling with totem lurantis and I used hawlucha and he DESTROYED

I always use Mimikyu with toxic to take down Necrozma, its Disguise ability is incredibly useful and if you get the totem sized Mimikyu from collecting stickers then you can soft reset until you get one with perfect SpAtk as one of its 3 guaranteed stats

Screw the events for real. If anyone misses it by some random reason, they're screwed unless they hope that someone is kind enough to breed another and share. Seriously, they should put these "event-oriented" pokemon in game, but make it a little side mission to get them. That way its more fun rather than going to game stop to get it

Alolan muk destroys ultra necrozma just get the levels up to around 50 minimize knock off gunk shot rest plus leftovers/black sludge

Nikkos with me Necrozma kept outspeeding and OH’KOing my Pokemon until I brought out Flippers (my Swampert). “Poor Soul used a Max Revive” “Hoot (my Decidueye) recovered from fainting!” “Necrozma used Photon Geyser. Flippers fainted!” Then I sent out Hoot. “Necrozma used Photon Geyser. Hoot avoided it, in time for your shout!”- or something like that. “Hoot surrounded itself with Z-Power, Hoot unleashed it’s Z-Move! “Hoot used Sinister Arrow Raid! It’s super effective! Necrozma fainted!” So because of max affection I won first try.

When i was on the first island i was just obliterating every trainer with Furfrou's headbutt

Primarina, Gengar, Mudsdale, Hawlucha, Magnezone, and Leafeon was my team and I had a great time

Put all these Pokémon on my team... max out all their friendships.. add the finishing touches andd... there! Now we have the easiest game in the world. Thanks MysticUmbreon!

I don't know why Vikavolt got the spot instead of the far superior Magnezone. Magnezone is better in every stat, even speed. True it won't evolve until Vast Poni Canyon but Magneton is good enough as is. And you can run it with the Eviolite to give more bulk. The move pool is better and the moves come in faster. Also, the entire Magnezone line is special so you won't have to change the entire move set when it does evolve, unlike Vikavolt who goes from a physical Charjabug to a special attacker. Anybody can try to change my mind but the truth is that Magnezone is just the better Pokemon!

I agree with this, but in Ultra Sun and Moon, you can get Magnezone earlier by leveling up your Magneton in Blush Mountain

Bro, the Litten line goes through SO MANY big fights well, like it does good against the normal trial (double kick), ok on the water trial, good on fire because of bite, REALLY good on the Grass trial because it gets the boost from the sun, REALLY good against the electric, ok on the Ghost, not that good against the Dragon and REALLY GOOD against the Fairy, and also does good against Moylane and Guzma.

Looking back, I have never done an alolan playthrough without a mudsdale.

Since i started the game, i built my dark type pokemon team : 1. Incineroar (fire/dark) - my starter. Powerful z move with darkest lariat. It learns outrage, flare blitz, and cross chop too which make it more dangerous 2. Zoroark (dark) - catch zorua at trainer school. My second partner with high speed spatck and atck. Better catch with sp atck nature (mild or rash) or speed nature. Don't cost it atck and spatck 3. Honchkrow (dark/flying) - catch murkrow at cemetery in first island (night only). Best counter for fighting type pokemon bcause it can learns psychic and fly 4. Tyranitar (rock/dark) - catch larvitar inside diglett cave. Better search it before battle royale mission. Just search near the entrance. It's the hardest pokemon in my party to be trained. Pupitar evolve to tyranitar lv 55 5. Krokodile (ground/dark) - catch krokorok in haina dessert. Easy to find. I love it because it has high atck and speed stats, combine it with moxie nature 6. Weavile (dark/ice) - catch sneasel just before pokemon league in lanakila mountain. The quickest pokemon in my party. It has high speed and atck stats Others alternative that i love to train beside my party: 7. Absol (dark) - the location is same with sneasel. Try to find with superluck ability (up crtitcal ratio), combine it with night slash, psycho cut, stone edge, sword dance. Then give item scope lens or razor claw. Absol will have 100% critical hit ratio. Nature : Adamant 8. Muk (poison/dark) - the other best dark pokemon that have unique types. But i dont like the colour of this pokemon (my opinion) 9. Bisharp (dark/steel) - high attack and defense, cool design, but hard to find 10. Scrafty (fight/dark) - high attack. Powerful in early mid game 11. Pangoro (fight dark) - high attack, and i love panda hehe 12. Mega gyarados (water/dark) - you can only get this after the story end 13. Mandibuzz (dark/flying) - sorry i play ultra sun so i can't catch it. But this pokemon is strong 14. Houndoom (fire/dark) - love this pokemon but i prefer incineroar than houndoom 15. Umbreon - most favorite eevee's evolution

Man, my final Ultra Moon team was pretty similar to this one, even without watching the video by then. While I had Primarina, Alolan Muk and Vikavolt (a shiny one too), the other three also worked out pretty nicely. They were Salamence, Metagross and Palossand.

My team was: Incineroar Vikavolt Mudsdale Flareon Hawlucha Metagross

Mimikyu knowing Toxic can work for Ultra Necrozma’s battle

For Ultra necrozma, a illusion zoroark can allow you to take 0 damage the whole battle. It was way too easy

Pancakes The Alolan Raichu necrozma will use photon geyser at the start and will continue to use it unless its a dark type. Zoroark is a hidden dark type so photon geyser won't effect it but the AI thinks its not

I one shot it with a Night Slash with Honchkrow. All that build up just for me to press one button and defeat it. Was really disappointing for me.

I beat ultra necrozma with a mimikyu using will-o-whisp and a couple of revives 😂😂

wolfy nightcore I barely made it I had two pokemon that where able to battle that thing swept the floor with the rest of my team I only had my incinaroar and my noivern (I think)

I got _destroyed_ by ultra necrosma, and that was with a team the had done pretty good the rest of the time. The first time I battled it it OHKO’d my whole team. The only way I defeated it was by going back to get the focus sash, then using that to get out a toxic stall and using revives to stick around until it fainted. Not fun

How about using magmazones tri attack to get a burn and since it has sturdy I spam a bunch of max potions

As soon as I saw Mubray's Stamina ability I knew I had to have it in my team

My Ultra Sun team: Decidueye (Leaf Blade, Spirit Shackle, U-turn, Swords Dance) Zoroark (Foul Play, Night Slash, Low Kick, U-turn) Noivern (Air Slash, Draco Meteor, Boomburst, U-turn) Araquanid (Leech Life, Liquidation, Aqua Ring, Infestation) Salazzle (Flamethrower, Toxic, Sludge Wave, Dragon Pulse) Alolan Ninetales (Ice Beam, Dazzling Gleam, Dark Pulse, Calm Mind) It was actually a really fun team. Having 2 glass cannons and one pokemon that can take like two hits and then dies is both really fun and really annoying. I had the least issue battling, because most of my team does enough damage to either one-shot or two-shot most opponents, but when you're doing things like trying to catch legendaries, this team can be kind of a nightmare (everything crits, everything does too much damage, nobody can survive any of the legendary's attacks, etc)

My team: Decidueye, Magnezone, Zoroark, Growlithe, Noivern, Florges. The only cons is that I had a hard time taking out fire types, and I had no ground attacks or water attacks.

Poplio is actually the better if all alolan starters statwise primarina is in uu while incineroar and decidueye stay in nu

This video is what lead to my love for Hawlucha.

A few things. 1. Munchlax is actually the fifth pokemon available given that you need the ride tauros to break rocks to get him. 2. Acrobatics is NOT on the first Island, it isn't found until route 15. And just in case you really need, you can get flynium z at ten karat hill for Halucha
