We celebrated our Daddy's Shashtipoorti ceremony with a lot of joy. Here is the full video of the celebration which took place.
Our Daddy is an Ex Navy (Submarine Officer) who was a part of the team carrying the submarine INS Chakra, we are very proud of him.
The celebration started with - Dirgha Ayushya Hawan and with 61 diya aarti, later we arranged a small get together of Daddy's friends and family. The evening celebration started with a timeline walk through life journey, every big milestone was mentioned. We got a rangoli portrait of him, decorated the entire banquet with flowers. A tula was organised, Jaggery equivalent of Daddy's weight was distributed. After that everyone greeted him with unique gifts, some gave garlands made of notes, coins, flowers, elaichi etc. A special dance performance was arranged which was about Daddy's life journey.
One of the highlights of the celebration was dance performance dedicated to mummy, A special dance performance on the song Rakhumai Rakhumai, showcased the efforts she has taken all her life for all of us.
The celebration was a surprise to him, and we wanted him to enjoy every moment of it. The Celebration is a ceremony which is generally done when a person completes his/her 60th birthday, the ceremony is done for the person to good long happy life.
