I do not even collect Marvel or DC MAFEX action figures, But to me, Both the HUSH along with the Dark Knight Returns Superman figures are 1000% the best 6 inch scale comic book Superman figures ever and the Batman The Dark Knight Returns animated movie is better than Batman vs Superman Dawn of Justice, Great review on this really awesome Superman figure Shartimusprime.

As a huge superman fan, this figure stood out to me so much from anything else of recent. I absolutely adore everything about it. Sculpt, bright blues and red. The gorgeous logo, the articulation, the hair and boots. Just everything makes sense. So I agree it's one of the best superman figures of recent years. Since neca 78 and dc icons superman, in my opinion.

In the comics, Superman's cape is often depicted as ankle long. The only mainstream version of Superman I can think of with a short cape is Chris Reeve.

Superman Fleischer,60s-70s,80s and Tas has short cape plus all star Superman comics and cartoons personally I prefer long

@@GregKhar-NU-Metalhead2000 Yeah, you're right bout that, tho I forgot to specify "modern mainstream" or "post crisis", tho, 80s I remember more longer capes. All-Star's aint particularly good imo, looks like a weird blanket put over his shoulders. TAS was also fairly inconsistent due to animation variation, but by the JL/JLU time it was drawn ankle-long fairly consistently. Long cape ftw

Mafex is 3 for 3 making top-tier Superman figures 1st with Hush, Black suit and now TDKR. If only we could get one with a smiling face.

Literally just picked this figure up today and I LOVE it!

This is probably my favorite big time spider-man bits so far! Granted I haven’t seen all of them but this one really made me laugh.

This is definitely an amazing figure. One of Mafex’s best. But I still out hush and cyborg Superman over him tbh. This supes is spot on with Frank millers artwork in TDKR. But the hush Superman is my definitive Superman in 6 inch form. And cyborg Superman is just a phenomenal reuse of that base body.

Best Supes Ever?- Of course not........but yes it is. Personally I prefer more cape in this instance. Posing him in flight with a large wired cape looks very good.

As nice as these Mafex offerings are I will always and forever be itching for a proper domestically made 6inch DC line of consistent quality. A Marvel Legends kinda thing but for DC characters. If we could finally get that then I’d die happy.

The Mafex chunky Superman and Batman's are my favorites. bought doubles of them all. Also love the hush and Cyber Superman.

I like this Superman I have this one but just like you I like the Mafex hush Superman better the one I wanted

@@kingdomcomesuperman3669 so, if they are popular, why not make more? And to put thing in perspective, rarity is judged by how difficult is to find, not by being popular nor the price. They are out there so it's not rare unless they were numbered and limited to for example 250pcs.

@@jedistreaming4006 When I said rare I was more so referring to there not being a lot of Superman figures made in this scale in general, add to that the few that were for awhile before more recently that were considered good like Neca's Superman was SDCC.

This would blend really well with Jada's Street Fighter figures due to the wide body types they got going on.

I have the Mafex Superman from Hush which I love. This Superman looks good but isn't for me. I did order Cyborg Superman though so I guess I'll mix them.

Look up "Bones and the Necro Zoo". He does an incredible custom job on that McFarlane Superman. I'd argue his looks better than the Mafex.

It's weird how mafex Dark Knight Returns Batman is not only taller than his respective superman but his head is way bigger than Supes as well. The scale is a little off to me.

Looks good for what it is, but not my thing. I don’t like the Dark Knight Returns at all, so I’m only complimenting it purely by accuracy. I know I sound pompous, but I think my own custom is the best. I put the best of everything in the pot and made an ultimate Superman.

Sorry, I couldn't stand the first minute of this video. Onto another review.

I'm not a fan of the Frank Miller art style. He always picks two or three features and over exaggerates them. I'm also not a fan of soft good on my action figures. And, as always, MAFEX is very gappy when you pose them. I know, I'm bitching and complaining. Should I not comment if I don't like a figure?
