Dude shhhhhhh! Quit telling people, i thought my dad was crazy when he showed me this 40yrs ago but i have seen this technic in hot weather or high pressured lakes catch giants. He would actually lay his rod down and every now and then give the reel handle a couple of turns. Then you would see his line swimming off and he would set the hook. This is old school magic. Shhhhh!

Much love man. I've been into bass fishing for a while now. I remember when you started doing big things in the industry and I was really happy to see someone like me and you do good. We both are firecrackers, we both don't take no crap. Thank you for all you do. I'm just the little guy trying to get my foot in there. Tournament fishing isn't really my gig, line testing and nerdy stuff it's my forte.

"The Jig is Up" Ike (lol) I always use this technic in the summer down here in central FL . I am mainly fishing for big bluegill with another rod this time of year but i'll cast out a senko on spinning gear with 8lb. mono and leave that rod lying there while I catch some Bream and after a while that line with the stickbait starts swimming off!!! I have caught some very nice largemouth this way but it's hard to Not move that bait when you love powerfishing like I do!!!

i had to learn to bass fish at castaic lake.. its heavy pressured from banks and limited shoreline on the upper and lower.. the lower gets hit by multiple people daily in its spots and the upper is similiar but maybe a little less pressured since you can hike if you are crazy to get to some areas that are nicer. but when water is high like now its a pain... everyone told me to catch.. go super slow... it took me like 6-8 times going out to just catch one fish a few hours each time. till i really started doing just that. so like when i do the senko style weightless texas.. i cast far.. and let it just sink straight down.. keep bail open and even on baitcaster leave it free and let it sink straight down.. works good.. most your hits will come on the drop or on the bottom from that drop.. very little on drag and work back in. some deadsticking.. and others on slow drag in.. with deadsticking.. shaking.. ect.. but most on drop. i also do drop shot.. same thing really.. even though i use 1/2 oz weight to dropshot.. a lot of my bites are on the drop.. straight down. or at that location after a little movement or even letting it sit.. some on drag ins working different cadences but most on the way down or at the bottom right near where it land. its all i fish here from shore year round.. i try to target more of the 10-25 foot ranges.. im not in tournament so i do slow drag ins and different cadences to work it back in everytime.. never reel back in super fast even though most of my catches do come off the drop or at the bottom of that drop.. sometimes big fish take some coaxing. sometimes all the way up to you and can even dedicate 1 foot from you if they dont see you and spook, which happens to me sometimes. which is annoying when you see the hog that just wont commit when you are working the bait like a champ... and then she dissapeaer back into the depths...some is also luck. and dont forget teh 10" worm on drop shot or weightless just to give those big ones a bigger tempting target. ps this also works good in a small boat like a rental for me. i have a two pole license so ill drop shot with one and just send the weightless out.. improves catch rate. just make sure you keep the pole anchored. so it dont fly off the boat when you get hit.

It is funny. Here in sweden whacky fishing and neko fishing with stick baits is pretty new. When i start out whacky fishing i found that this metod work the best. I tought i did whacky but now i understand the name was deadsticking. All my biggest european perch have been taken on this metod. If it dont work i spray the worm with spike it garlic. But now a friend of mine from USA have send me JJ magic transparant garlic. that liquid stay far longer on the bait. Cant buy JJ in sweden, my god its STINK!! My favorite bait is X zone true center stick june bug 5 inch. The X zone hold up for many fish and i use it with an o ring and nr1 kamasan dropshot hook. This hook is thin and very strong. Mostly the perch hook it self on a slack line. Thanks for a very good video. Now i know what i am doing haha.
