Great review Bro! I believe this Bathys and PX8 cans needs break in time? say listen to it again after 200-300 hours and you will see a difference. I had the Focal Clear over 7 years now and this latest creation, it sounds great. For me, its a toss of a coin between this and Bowers PX8, which is also great. Think best to keep it with Bluetooth mode coz its what been designed to function

Agree about Bluetooth, although it's nice to have options 😁 The unit I tested with, btw, was a loaner so many hours have been put on it. I know for a fact that the reviewer (from Stereophile magazine) before me seasoned it well.

They look amazing! Fantastic design and build. But Aaron.......the $! 💀 😳😱

I have these and agree they are AMONGST the top 3 Bluetooth headphones easily. However, the mids of the Mark Levinson 5909 is simply God-tier. The new true king of the Bluetooth headphones however, is now the Dali IO-12. They are simply off the charts.

Dac mode simply elevates the sound to the next level. Less compression, punchier, clearer…

Hey Jorge, sorry about the late reply... Tough question to answer. I'd lean towards the B&W if I wanted better vocals and energy, while I'd pick the Bathys for detail and holographicity (is that a word?).

@@gearupaaron If you count on ancient greek, yes. Nowadays languages, some, are modern and changes were made. I think Focal named it after bathyscaphe.

Focals overpriced wired headsets don't even sound that good. It's guaranteed these will sound even worst. Not only that, the batteries will die in a year or right after the waranty runs out. Save yourr money and spend it on hot strippers in vegas!!!
