I had it happen that the fish was in front of me after the fight and no one even screwed it together, thats why I always do the gaff call right away, just to have it sitting there ready to go!

There is nothing wrong with Shimano. Great reels, the stella is a monster snatcher! But I would have to give the advantage between the two to Diawa. Shimano was the leader for many years, but Daiwa stepped up their game. I have fished with many people that only fish with Shimano, but when I would show them the Daiwa's & they were very impressed. It all depends on your preference. Diawa & Shimano are clearly the leaders & believe it or not Okuma is putting out some nice reels.

Quick question: would a 67kg wft braided line match a combo with a 10000 Stella and a Wilson venom popping rod ? Or is the line too thick as the specs are the same as a 65 pound power pro, if so what would be an ideal pound class. Thanx .

The 67 kg line is way too much for a 10000 size spool. I would go 51 kg and also the Venom popping rod is crap!

Definitely not a Stella! I broke every single one I owned! A dogfight or Expedition for sure, but can´t see a difference. The Dogfight looks better though! I have both, but mainly fish the dogfights.

@EMPTY-99 7ft9 to 8ft6 is preferable but you can still get away with up to 10ft if you need to cast farther. Most of the times you don't need to cast far especially if you're live-baiting. Consider what species of fish and regular size they are when determining the action of the rod. This also comes down to what your body can handle. For tuna usually slower action rod as opposed to faster rods for Kingfish or GT. You should also buy a rod that has good backbone.
